I know Sheehan is a rookie but... kind of need a save or 2 Sheehan had a bad game today. 4 goals on 9 shots. I hope these last two starts don't kill the kids confidence....No doubt he has a bright future. Ten goals on his last 29-30 shots, that's tough. I wish him the best of luck! Go Cats!! |

Well, this was unexpected.... While he seemed to come here with a lot of hype surrounding him (not by me), I was not impressed. I felt he showed up out of shape and seemed very slow footed as a result. Of course nobody could skate anywhere before coming to camp, but the others seemed to show up and be reasonably fit, and did not appear slow. But fitness is fairly easy to fix, it takes time but is not a big problem. But perhaps the team has taken the approach that they'll go with the guys that have put in the work to be here ... and Tomasina maybe doesn't fit that characteristic. Or, the team has set a limit on the number of players it will carry, because of billet availability and other COVID factors. And, perhaps one of the young camp holdouts has changed his mind and will now show up, bumping somebody out. Just a guess. |

Well, this was unexpected.... Not to read too much into it but, Tomasini wasn't assigned a number like everyone else who made the roster, looks like this decision may have been made a week ago. |

He was late arriving to camp and needed to quarantine for 14 days prior to trying out ... perhaps it was simply a matter that he wasn't promised anything, and that by the time they had a chance to look at him, they decided they weren't interested and didn't offer him a contract ... but the late arrival made him an 11th hour cut. |
