If you listened to the Press Conference he said no sports teams should be going into or out of the Moncton region for at least two weeks.

Did anyone really think we were going to get through an 8 month season with no hiccups? Back in May, I could not imagine there would be any Q hockey at all, so as far as I'm concerned, any games are a bonus as far as fans are concerned. Hopefully this outbreak can be contained in the next 2-4 weeks and we can enjoy a fall similar to our summer (with few cases and few restrictions).

With the government asking people to avoid unnecessary contact with others, it boggles my mind that someone could have so little regard for others as to sit at a McDonald's for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week in the middle of this.

Did I miss something? They announced a potential exposure this afternoon which was someone that spends 8-12 Monday-Friday at the Morton Ave McDonald's. That is ultimately a huge factor in Moncton switching to orange. Edit: no, Dr. Russell confirmed that it is not an employee. |

It didn't sound like Higgs came right and said the Wildcats needed to be shut down but implied that he hoped they would do the right thing. The reporter seemed to be looking for a more explicit answer but just like with a lot of the Covid recommendations, it doesn't sound like there will be much enforcement for the time being but they are hoping that people and businesses will comply. I can't imagine the Wildcats would not comply. As I said on the SJ board, I could easily see the entire league shutting down for a bit after this weekend depending on how things go these next few days.
