20 YOs can be traded all year, but only up to the end of this trade period. There is a roster freeze that typically occurs about a week after the trade period, and you may be able to pick somebody off waivers, but I don't think that is what you are hoping for. 99% sure the freeze is Feb 10th. Will that change because of covid and extending trade period from jan 10 until jan 25th this year? who knows. After 10 FEB rosters are set. So they can claim someone off Waivers or sign a Free Agent until Feb 10th, unless the date gets extended?

All of those players that would be trimmed can be claimed off waivers which is typically a 24 hr window. You would also be able to sign free agents now and up until the roster freeze.

If this is true that Vandervoet is not back then we have 11 forwards if Kotkov doesn't show up and 12 if we include him. I think they will need more than that if the season finishes. We will need to pick someone else up incase of illness or injuries.
Reynolds, Peter Savoie, Charles Bezeau, Riley Burns, Brady Lawrence, Josh Léonard, Liam Kotkov, Vladislav MacDonald, Cam Carruthers, Leighton Girouard, Nicholas Francis, Ryan Hughes, Simon

We seem to have quite a few d-men and suddenly a shortage of forwards. If only we had a defensemen (or 2), that is often a defensive liability because he's so offensive minded, that could be moved to forward either permanently or as needed in the event of injury.

I believe McCluskey has been skating with the team.

TG said in today’s TJ. We wanted to make moves that help our team, but with only 15 games played and so much uncertainty to the season we didn’t want to go all in, or do anything that would potentially be damaging to the future. He didn’t say much about the Roy trade other than he requested a trade to play in another market and we were able to trade him somewhere that is 2 and a half hours from his home. The draft picks we got in return give us a lot of flexibility to shore up any areas at the end of the season.

With 6 first rounders, 3 2nd's, and some good prospects, Georgie should be able to add some real good players to go on a run for a couple of years if he plays his cards right and makes trades for players that will be here for multiple years.
Not sure where Halifax will land in the overall standings this year so we will either have one of their 1st rounders in 2021 or 2022.
From what has been reported previously. If Halifax's first round pick in 2021 is in the top 10, Halifax gets to keep the pick and send Saint John its 2022 first round pick. If Halifax's first round pick in 2021 is 11th overall or lower, Saint John will receive that pick.
2021 Saint John: 1-1CHA-2BAT-4CHI-5VDO-6RIM-6QUÉ-7CHA-9-11-13-14
2022 Saint John: 1-1CHA-2-2GAT-3VDO-7-7VIC-8-9-10MON-10GAT-11-13-14
2023 Saint John: 1SHE-4-5-6-7-8-10-11-12-13-14

Of the teams above them, only Rouyn is likely to fall. And SJ should pass them.

There will be some other tinkering around the edges before the final 2021 roster is set.

There will be some other tinkering around the edges before the final 2021 roster is set. When you say the final 2021 roster I assume you mean the final roster this season and not next season. If so, I hope it is more than adding a McCluskey type player. Nothing against McCluskey. I just think they will need more than him this year. They have some real nice pieces right now but you usually don't win with this young of a line up.
