Article on Josh Roy. He doesn't come out and say it but kind of insinuates that the Dogs has some issues in the dressing room.

Joshua Roy wants to learn from Xavier Parent
JEROME GAUDREAU
Considered one of the best players of his age during his time in minor hockey, Xavier Parent recently welcomed to his team another player seen as one of the best prospects in his category. By reuniting with Parent at the Phoenix, Joshua Roy knew he was joining a veteran who knows well the path reserved for gifted young people having already taken it. That's why Joshua Roy intends to learn from his captain to achieve his goals.
“Xavier has gone through the same thing in the past. He was one of the first picks in the draft and he made his way in the QMJHL. He is a fine example for me. I am going to follow him, imitate what he does well and above all, train as hard as my Phoenix teammates, who seem to take training very seriously, ”assures Joshua Roy.
The top pick in the 2019 auction had a slow start in the Major Junior and went on to play an excellent second half of the season with the Saint John Sea Dogs.
After a 44-point campaign in 60 games upon entering the league, Roy has pocketed 17 points in 15 games with the Sea Dogs this season, including nine goals, and then added three points in two games with the Phoenix.
In fact, in the very first ranking of the best eligible prospects in the next NHL draft, Roy received the letter B, thus classifying him as a second or third round prospect. Other players drafted after him, however, got the letter A given to the first-round prospects.
Joshua fully intends to show scouts that he can be a threat in every game for the opposing defense, as he did in his first two meetings with the Phoenix this weekend in the Drummondville bubble.
“I would have preferred to do it in a winning cause, admits the one who has scored a goal in each of his outings. Even though our team is young, we have shown that it is possible to compete against teams more experienced than ours. I can't predict our record at the end of the season, but I know the Phoenix won't be easy prey. We are also betting on quality veterans like our goalie Samuel Hlavaj, who makes the important saves to keep us in the game. "
Joshua Roy had not played in more than two months and had only taken part in one training session with his new team before returning to action.
“I felt my legs were heavy. However, I did not take the last few weeks lightly. I continued to train hard, but I was short of breath. There is nothing better than playing matches to find the rhythm. "
What struck him the most when he arrived in Sherbrooke? The climate in the locker room.
Because there are many rumors circulating about certain habits established among Sea Dogs players and about chemistry within the Saint John team.
“The team spirit is different at the Phoenix. We immediately feel that the chemistry is incredible, ”is limited to say Joshua Roy, who as a good teammate, does not intend to reveal the locker room secrets of his former organization.
The Phœnix will be in action again on Tuesday night, this time competing against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at the Center Marcel-Dionne. A third match in six evenings for Stéphane Julien's troupe.
