We continue to wait for the eventual winner from the three team New Brunswick tournamement.
As it stands right now, things are very tight. Each team is 2-2 with two remaining games this weekend.
Tonight Saint John visits Bathurst. Tomorrow is Moncton at Bathurst. Sunday is Saint John at Moncton. If the teams each go 1-1 this weekend, it will force a tie breaking scenario.
Since there has been no indication otherwise, we will assume that the series between the NB winner and the Islanders will proceed some time next week. Moncton has pulled off a couple of big wins after starting off 0-2. Moncton is very much in a rebuild, and they are missing guys from injury, but they have come on very strong of late. I always thought that Saint John should be the strongest team in the group, but they have had some tough losses in this round-robin and seem to be struggling with consistency, as was the case earlier in the season. Bathurst is sort of the opposite to Moncton. They started off strongly but have hit a rough patch. Bathurst has some impressive individual talent on their roster who could be game breakers in the next round.
Who is most likely to come out of this weekend as the successful winner?

I fully expect the winner of the SJ/BAT game to eventually win the RR because I don’t see the cats winning 4 in a row but I also didn’t expect them to be 2-2 either lol

I went into this feeling pretty sure that Bathurst would role through the whole thing but obviously I was wrong about that. It's such a toss up now but I still feel like it's going to be Bathurst.
To be honest though I am not even sure if this charlottetown/nb thing is going to happen at all. All the new restrictions that have come up seem to make it almost impossible to navigate...

I saw on the Quebec board that all remaining series will be played at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. I'm guessing the Maritime teams will travel there too.

The Islanders are selling tickets for the NB series so I don't think they are going to Quebec yet? Unless they can't reach an agreement with the CPO's from PEI and NB

The players are out of work isolation as of today apparently. Not sure what that means for the playoff series

The players are out of work isolation as of today apparently. Not sure what that means for the playoff series Technicality - they have been in PE for 14 days since they returned from NS the last time. The next series Isles are home for all the games. The real question is how Bathurst will need to present themselves for the coming series. Up until now visitors have driven to Charlottetown, played the game and then driven home. You would expect for this to work needs Bathurst to stay in a bubble. But how can it be a bubble if the Islanders can come and go.

That would be unfortunate if they are not able to have a game with a proper send off to the 20s

It is not looking optimistic that we'll see hockey here, unfortunately.
Not only do the league and health authorities have to decide what they are doing, but they also have to provide enough time to get the teams safely up to Quebec, if this is the direction they will choose to take.

So by later this week there will be 8 teams left? I lost track of what was happening in Quebec.
Potential 3 rounds left to finish this?
In a bubble it happens faster than on surface and going city to city.
One advantage is they can play 2 or 3 games a day in there and compress schedule. Anyway it's not ideal but at this point the players are excited just to play and for Bathurst/Islander to play adifferent team.

Here' the link confirming that the rest of the playoffs will be held in Quebec City Thats says "following the quarterfinals, the winner of the maritime division final will join..." which implies it's only the winner of that joining them. This was released on the 24th and Islanders started offering playoff tickets on the 28th, which means they believed they would be having games on pei even after that release.
