I definitely really like the add. Just really interested to see what he does up front. So far he's started with 2 areas I didn't think were real issues for us.

I see them adding a 2nd line fw......but goal scoring hasn't been a huge issue......they are league leaders in goals scored with 130.....and are sitting 4th overall in goals against. But yes. I do see them adding to the forward group.....just not a HUGE name. |

This is a good move but a puzzling move we need a top 6 to put us over the hump I’m sure he will add one just not sure how.

the only thing is though the forward group is being carried by the 1st 2 lines...gotta add that depth scoring especially in the playoffs.

Hulton loves building from the backend there is no question we are defensively loaded.... maybe the top 2 lines is enough to put us over the top and really just add a couple smaller vet peices to round out the bottom 6? this is not the way I expected the trade period to start but as always Hulton surprises i love this addition and although I still think the Lapenna trade was perhaps unnecessary i'm not gonna second guess the man..... Briwhel why do we owe Chicoutimi a future? |

Still lots of futures to be had. Plandowski, Guay and Trudeau would all fetch a good haul as futures. You can't trade futures if you don't have any picks to link them to At this point, the highest pick you own is a 3rd (which may not be good enough to link). Also, you owe Chicoutimi a future already. you can trade futures for sure..... have you just started following this league? who do we owe chicoutimi a future for? i don't really like to link names here so i won't but we do have a prospect who was drafted fairly high that i expect to be moved in a deal to add a forward... with the league now postponing games til the 7th tho there isn't so much a rush to get it done |

Seems like in the article below it's articulated as this is a continuation of the Simmoneau deal. "Which follows on from" makes it seem this way at least |
