you can trade futures for sure..... have you just started following this league? who do we owe chicoutimi a future for? i don't really like to link names here so i won't but we do have a prospect who was drafted fairly high that i expect to be moved in a deal to add a forward... with the league now postponing games til the 7th tho there isn't so much a rush to get it done Drafted high in the Q? i don't play the rumour game so you can figure it out yourself if so inclined my point is/was there are still ways to get forward help and i'm sure it's in the plans

Brady Burns and Dawson Stairs have to be being looked at by the Isles. Probably two of the better players in the league that might be low cost.
Burns might be costly coming from Saint John, but a lot of talk that many people don't see him as a prominent player to help the Sea Dogs in the Mem Cup.

It's possible that Biakabutuka was brought in either to
A) move him to another team, or
B) move another D now for a forward

You would think you should be a league GM by now.

Islanders acquire Jeremie Biakabatuka from Rimouski. I’m surprised no one brought this up but looking at this trade it screams futures. I have a feeling you see one or both those 2nds come back for a player. My guess is Boyd will be heading to Rimouski at the draft.

So is Hulton just doubling down and loading up on defense and goaltending? I'd never doubt Hulton, but sure seems odd to spend all those assets on Lapenna and Biakabutuka, and not use them to address your offense. I'm sure he's not done, but you're running low on capital.

This team reminds me of the 2009-10 wildcats that went to the memorial cup built from the next out this team is so balanced that honestly even if they don’t get another top 6 forward it’s not the end of the world even though it would be real nice to add one.

You guys already added Simoneau and Guay up front. Guay was a year ago and Simoneau was in the summer, but still added to your current group.

They still have Ouellette left to dangle for help up front as well.

i don't think top scoring is missing tho sure would be nice to add another top name
we currently have the leading goal scorer in Guay the leading setup man in Simoneau the second leading scorer from the backend in Cormier the second leading rookie scorer in Brabanec have scored the most goals total in the league have the second ranked PP in the league the top pk in the league
have added strength to the net and defense
i really don't think we're missing alot here
their is enough to add a bit more...... will it be a big forward addition or perhaps a couple smaller forward additions?
pretty exciting time to be an Isles fan.....

Maxime Pellerin Loik Daigle
Andrew Belchamber
Charles Boutin
Francis Langlois
Luka Verrault William Doumoulin
Samuel Johnson
William Provost
Few other potential names to look out for that might be lower cost additions that all could be top 9 help for a deep run
