Eagles announce FANFEST at the Fiddle, where fans can meet the #1 overall selection of the 2022 Draft. We have our guy and he will report, only question remains is who will it be? Have to think whoever it is will be in town this weekend...anyone have any sources at the Cambridge Suites?

More news on the 20 year one situation in Sydney next season.
Eagles will acquire Zachary Gravel from the Remparts. Going to Quebec will be Lucas Canning and Charles Savoie.

Canning and Savoie were going to be in tough for roster spots. Gravel scored 27 goals last year. Does this mean Lawrence, Biakabutuka, and Gravel are the 20's? The rumors all point to that. But i'm also hearing rumors that one of those rumors may not happen...tis the season for rumors

It would appear to be Tomas Lavoie. If so, and given Couturier's and many others ranking of him, that should be very good news for the Eagles organization and its fans.

Where does Olivier Houde fit in the mix he put up 60 pts in M188AAA last season which is impressive even as a 17 year old. His profile has him playing CEGEP in Que next season.
I would have him as a more valuable piece long term then a few of the guys currently on the roster.

You may be confused by Hogue and Houde...both were at camp...Hogue is small.
Hogue made the roster and was sent home at Christmas...Houde did not and played M18..he is listed at 6', 165lbs.
Both are 2004 born.

I haven't really sat down and looked at the Sea Dogs roster possibilities next year. But there is a chance Cape Breton over takes them. Just thinking out loud I can see the following players making moves to ECHL/AHL at least for the start of the year.
- Dufor - Villeneuve - Kuznetsov - Daoust - Ansons
Maybe Francis? Prorier?
Also why is the Cape Breton section called NetScape VI? Is this some inside joke?

Poirier is a signed 19, so he won't be back. Also, they can only have 3 20s, so 3 of Lawrence, Lessard, Burns, Bezeau, Desroches, Hurtubise, Couture, Patenaude (?)

Patenaude is 20 in December I believe. It'll be a fun Maritimes division next year. Can easily see Halifax and Cape Breton being on top of the division. Especially with Charlottetown and Bathurst who were pushing for this year.
