My immediate reaction is if he reports I'm fine with the pick if he doesn't it's just the Eagles continuing to do Eagles things.

So according to this we're giving up a prospect as part of the Belgarde trade. I believe it's Perron...

In a lot of ways drafting an 18yr old makes no sense. 2 year player in 2 seasons we probably don't contend in. Could be a great trade asset at 19...but a 3 year player picked at 17 that we would have more control over and 3 years of just seemed like the obvious way to go at #3 overall. I guess the positive side is that if he reports we have the makings of a much improved team assuming all the rumors are true. But the 10th overall team in this league isn't going to be selling many more tickets or drawing much more interest, either. Assuming Kulich reports we look much improved up front but still middle of the pack at best. And NHL drafted but not from the Q means he'll always have the pro option back in Europe or playing AHL at 19. Almost like every time there are steps forward there's always 1 step backwards. We'll see what this ends up ultimately being but I'm underwhelmed based on the fact he's 18 and being drafted out of Europe.

J Squires to Charlottetown. Unsure if he's part of the rumoured deal for Biakabutuka or not but he's headed home.
Also hearing rumblings around coaching staff changes due to personal reasons.

Wanted out apparently. He was unhappy with his use at 16 So we're turning our #1 pick in a draft where we had the 2nd overall pick into the 16th pick the following season plus a mediocre defenceman and a 2nd round pick that we actually look to have hit a home run with. Thats just brutal management. No way to sugar coat it.

Oh Eagles never change *facepalms* Its not about convincing the player at this point. Its all about convincing the NHL team why an average CHL team is better development over pro in Europe. The WJHC being in our backyard shouldn't hurt. The worlds current situation coming out a pandemic probably doesnt hurt either. The closer the kid is to the NHL the better. But if he tears up the Q he may be AHL bound at 19 and that would be a complete waste of a high pick unless we're going to add more.

So all rumours are true, i actually dont hate our defence to start the year. Biakabutuka, langlois, buteau, shortall and daigle. If we draft the dman lavoie then add him in there. Now, i assume langlois will be moved at xmas and could also see biaka moved as well.
