After the win last night, we have some hope to hold on to. The Islanders did what they need to do to extend the season.
This is a "little by little", "bit by bit" climb. Next task is to take game #5 at home in front of a sold out crowd.
For the players, it is simple... coming up is the biggest game of their lives. The reward for winning is getting the opportunity to play and even bigger game.
Game time on Saturday is 5:00 PM.
It should be a great one!!

I'll say what I said in the Game 4 thread: Regardless of the outcome, this team has been a special team that will be remembered for a long, long time. Records broken, back to back awards, craziest rink atmosphere I've ever experienced, first president's cup final. I'm glad they are back on home ice so they can see and feel the fans behind them.
Just have to win one game. They keep playing the way they have been, they can do this.

I'll say it, I fully believe with the way the past 3 games went....especially last night......this series is definitely going 7 games.....and I fully believe that the Isles will win it all on home ice.

Being down 3-1 is never ideal. But if you're going to be down 3-1, this is probably best case scenario. The one win happens to be a blowout win in the last game where you took over the series lead for total goals. You're coming home full of confidence and the opponent is not as comfortable as most teams usually are when up 3-1.

I'll say it, I fully believe with the way the past 3 games went....especially last night......this series is definitely going 7 games.....and I fully believe that the Isles will win it all on home ice. Of course Shawinigan literally only needs one good game, but they looked tired in games 3 and 4. We definitely need to exploit that with more heavy hits. |
