There is definitely not 5,000 packages sold. How much is a package for all Moncton games per seat? $682 sides $605 corners/ends

My purchase window for Moncton packages opened this morning. Not sure if they're holding back seats, but I'm really surprised at how many tickets are shown as being sold. Virtually nothing left on the sides, corners/ends are about 30-40% sold. I originally thought they'd be lucky to sell 1500 once it was revealed that Canada wasn't playing any meaningful games here. Eyeballing it, I'd say at least 5000 packages appear to have been sold. My purchase window was also this morning, and I am unable to see anything - I assumed everything was sold out, but it sounds like that is not the case. Very odd Might be a connection issue; it sometimes takes a little while for the dots to populate on the seating chart. If you're on a slower connection or have a computer issue it might take a lot longer to load. Either way there are absolutely lots of tickets left. I think there were 3000 or so left when I checked this morning, I did a quick count tonight and there are 2732 left.

Single game tickets go on sale December 6th I think some of the packages were bought by resellers and will try and sell them for profit.

I think some of the packages were bought by resellers and will try and sell them for profit. In Halifax maybe. What resale value is there on any Moncton game?

Probably not much, the high value games are 2 quarter finals, the NYE Finland/USA Game and the 2 Team Canada pre tournament games, if you consider a meaningless game with a chance to see guys like Bedard to be valuable I guess. Is there resellers out there who think they'll get $200 bucks per ticket for Canada pre-tournament games? I suppose crazier things have happened. I'm personally very curious at who bought all these packages, only the ends and corners remain for 2 seats together. Curious how many fans will travel in from other areas, obviously the players families coming in will help bump things up. But even if you said 2-3 family members per player you are only looking at 200-300 extra packages. Depending on prices I intend to try and get to both quarter finals, USA/Finland and perhaps one other game like Slovakia/Latvia to see what type of atmosphere is there. Slovakia has some nice prospects. Dvorsky is slated to go top 10 in the draft.

Halifax is the biggest city in the region whose 2003 tournament atmosphere has taken on a life in its own over the 20 years following the tournament. They appear to have over 6000 season ticket holders many of which only bought in this year to get WJHC tickets. Add in the fact they're the largest city and can easily draw in people from 2-3 hours out and i'm surprised that you're surprised at how successful the ticket sales have been.

The only reason Halifax hasn't sold out is because the only remaining packages are staring at a cement wall for 90% of the game for a really high price. I'm not suprised that they've sold as many as they did. If the gold medal games / canada games were all in Moncton they would have sold out already since there's no obstructed seats. But it would have been 1200 or so less tickets sold to get there. Almost 2 million extra in revenue.

Taibel and Mueller were named to Switzerland's training camp roster.
Only 15 forwards on the roster which means there's a very good chance at least one of them makes the team and very possible they both do.
