was thinking about getting either a season ticket again or trying the half season ticket , but I find it hard to purchase the WJHC ticket without anything about a schedule . Thoughts on which city will get the Gold medal game ? will Canada even play a game in Moncton ? anyone hearing anything ? thanks

This is obviously unconfirmed so don't shoot the messenger.

So $45 a ticket here and $60 in Halifax but....they get all the good games. So bottom line, we are not a co host, we are simply an alternate site.

In my opinion the Canada round robin games will all be in Moncton.
2 Quarter Finals each in Moncton/Halifax (Canada in HFX if qualify)
Relagation, Semi-Finals & Gold/Bronze medal games in Halifax.

Nothing in the wording from either says where those games will be so you are taking that on trust only

You're going to be disappointed if you buy a package hoping to see Canada. You're getting 2 pre-tournament games as the carrot to buy the package. Halifax is hosting Team Canada and Moncton is hosting the other pool. Just like Halifax/Sydney in 2003.

Wow, if Halifax is also getting Canada's prelim round games, then those Moncton package prices are insane (or Halifax prices are dirt cheap, depending on your perspective).
In a small building like Scotiabank Centre, lower-bowl tickets for Canada's semi and gold/bronze medal games alone would be worth far more than the entire prelim round combined, even including the Canada games.

Far more than the entire prelim round combined? How much do you view those tickets as being worth exactly? At some point its still junior hockey and even in a small building there's going to be a limit people will pay.

In the past I've seen gold medal game tickets reselling for $1k+, semis for $400+, quarters $200+. I've also seen prelim round tickets go unsold for a fraction of face value and even given away on Kijiji depending on who's playing. It's nuts, but y'know... world juniors in Canada. And I don't see it being any different in this part of the country where we never get anything.

I think the point is...WE ARE NOT CO HOSTING......that would imply that we are somewhat equal...so once again Hockey Canada is only about the money and not fairness or transparency....

Personally I think the entire climate for it has changed and that you won't see that level of resale market but it will be interesting to follow. There's many factors working against this tournament. I think our interest in the tournament will take a bit of a beating having 2 tournaments such a short time apart.

How does it work to get tickets? The groups aren't set yet, we'll know who plays where after this year's tournament.

To me it's a big joke.
It's like saying "We are selling tickets for a concert and this is the price. So what group or entertainer will be performing? Oh... we'll decide that later... but buy your ticket now!"
