Interesting….but this roster also lists Rutledge as wearing 99….which I guess is possible…but unlikely! Unless they are possibly still trying to land him and having negotiations with his team.. Played last season in the States and someone in his immediate Family mentioned that he had no interest in playing CHL..... But like I mentioned, unless Jim does pull a rabbit out of his hat, I cannot see him playing here. By the looks of the team's recent Instagram stories... someone looks familiar. View Attachmentand as I posted this... Mitchell Wagner's name is gone and Mossey has a number. #26.

pretty sure 99 is assigned on their site to any player without an official number
tho it would seem weird that everyone besides him would have their number already considering he was one of the first free agent/draft signings
anyone get coffee from him? what jersey was he wearing? lol
also if Mossey is here (and i hope he is because he's a quality player) that means a very crowded andf inexperienced blueline
which could also be a reason to keep Lapenna around.... veteran goaltending can help offset inexperienced defense
the d would have
one of Biakabutaka or TRudeau possibly Squires Tessier
and then all rookies with no or less than 10 games experience
Mossey Toplinycky Beren-Simard Vos Kearsey

Whatever happened to that Biakabutuka kid coming over here to Cape Breton ? A rumor that died when CB hired Couturier it seemed like.

In the 22/23 Media Guide issued by the league Mossey and Rutledge are listed as on the roster but without numbers.

With Hulton recently signed on for 3 more years, would that be something that could sway Mossey to change his mind and sign here instead of returning to the States to play?
By that time, Mossey would be finishing up his 19yr old season.
Playing for the best coach in CHL for 3 years couldn't be a bad thing.....

I think Charlottetown Islanders fans have every right to claim Jim Hulton as the best coach in the CHL. He's done nothing but prove it over and over again.
Charlottetown will be interesting this year, that's an inexperienced blueline as mentioned above, and 2 of the guys with experience are cast-offs from other teams trying to get younger and who didn't have room.
On paper, it's bottom-5 at best and bottom-1 at worst... but given Hulton's track record I don't expect them to perform like it.
