That would be a great loss to the Titan if he doesn't show.

While I have no love for the Titan I do enjoy watching Clendenning play and am hoping he is on your team next year. He is far too talented a player not to be in the Q next year. Yarmouth seems to have stacked themselves up enough anyway to make a run at it without the guy. In fact I'd say Clendenning is more important to how far the Titan go than to how far Yarmouth does, if that makes any sense.

I also like Clendenning I was wishing he would have been trade to the Dogs.

But since Yarmouth Acquired his Junior A rights there seemed to be some rumours and panic on the Bathurst board ;D No panic just billybob and shitdisturbersteve being their usual selves. Rumours out of Yarmouth suggest that they have offered Clendenning $1000 per week as they make a run at a National Championship. I don't know what the Titan will pay him but I doubt it is that much ... probably more in the range of $400-500. I think Clendenning would probably rather play Major Jr than Jr A and he'd probably be willing to play Major Jr at a lower price ... but money does talk ... and everybody has a price that can change their mind. Plus there are other rumours regarding him playing AUS hockey for either Fredericton team (STU or UNB) ... another chance at a National Championship in Moncton. I had heard quite awhile ago that Clendenning was pondering a change this season because he wasn't happy playing for Chabot ... and so now that Chabot has moved on it seems that reason no longer exists.

Id suggest it a dead rumour now but ive seen weirder things happen. We signed an OHL forward today from the Sarnia Sting named Dannt Anger, he was 19 and a assistant captain at age of 18

Let me get this straight. Clendenning had a good camp in St Louis last year, followed by a difficult season. But he turned it on in the last month and was hot in the playoffs. From what I understand, he was invited back in St Louis this year again... ... And this season could potentially be a hot one for the Titan, maybe even in line with a cup run... ... But you suggest he'd forego those opportunities to go Jr. A or AUS. I see.

I also read Chabot stating that he would try to give Clendenning access to pro ranks if feasible....this season or next.... I also heard Chabot himself praising greatly the grittiness and character of his Captain at the end of last season.... I doubt highly that there is anything else than praise and mutual respect between these two.
Also the Titan always paid over $700./week their key OAs along the years....that it be Russo, Sprukts,Filion,Labelle, and others.... Obviously Steve likes to spread the cheapness of LGM around.....and I don't expect him to change with the coming of this new Board.
By all accounts, Jordan will be a key OA next season for the Titan and should be paid accordingly.... The fact that his former coach will be on the lookout for him will make Clendenning's return to Bathurst the most plausible eventuality.

It's not him that went looking elswhere necessarily...Yarmouth traded for his rights and made him a huge offer from what I heard. I don't really see him playing pro...unless he wants to waste 4-5 years in the ECHL.

Clendenning is like Chris Gaudet ... a great captain and gritty player ... a very key player on his team ... but I think he realizes that his chances of a pro career are slim unless he has interest of playing ECHL. Gaudet will play AUS next year even though he considered pro options at the end of last year. I'm not saying he will play JR A ... I'm saying the offer was apparently made at that price ... and Yarmouth wants him bad enough to trade assets to acquire his rights (from Woodstock). Do you think they traded for his rights without even talking to him ? I have heard nothing that suggests Clendenning will play Jr A ... simply reporting what I heard.
