Any info on if Morin will be back for the home opener tonight? I saw he was released from Flames camp yesterday

I know +/- isn't a great stat but Morin was -5 last night. Didn't see the game but was he that bad?
Last year he was so impressive and I thought he'd be in the conversation for best Q dman for the next 2 seasons but he has really regressed.

Last year he was so impressive and I thought he'd be in the conversation for best Q dman for the next 2 seasons but he has really regressed. Based on the live games I have attended I'd more argue that he hasn't regressed, rather he looks like he hasn't adjusted to the team's new structure and flow, which is a bit surprising this far into the season, he looks like he's trying to get used to a new team out there at times. I would place partial responsibility to this on the shoulders of the coaching staff. It is understandable at times, considering this team the last two years was considered a hard working and tenacious team, sacrificing the high risk skill plays for more safe ones (there were still absolutely some boneheaded plays but they were a younger team at those times). This year, there seems to be a very noticeable shift in puck confidence and risky plays, which has really shifted the dynamic of the team and there are many goals scored off of turnovers and odd-mans, both for and against. This, coupled with the emergence of Desnoyers, Collard, Mueller, Sumpf etc. as legitimate offensive threats and capable drivers of the play leads to an expected dip in production from Morin, who is not relied on as heavily to be the driver Keep in mind these are my opinions based on my own hockey experience playing and coaching, here is what I thought about each goal Morin was on for last night: The first goal Morin was on for was a 3 on 2, could be argued that he overplayed the puck carrier, but the fault of the play rested with Carrier and not recognizing the three jumping in the play behind him when he decided to forecheck which put him at a major disadvantage to catch up to the trailer Second goal he stayed with his man. Boutin and Collard didn't challenge enough Third I believe he played that correctly based on what was in front of him, if he didn't challenge at the Blueline then there would have been a clear 3 on 2. What he couldn't see is Plandowski playing a little too conservative and was way too deep in the D-zone. Not even gonna mention anything about all 3 Moncton forwards within 8 feet of eachother at the offside faceoff dot when the pass is made... 4th one based on what I could read from their defensive structure is that Morin gave too much gap and didn't correctly read the play. Could try to pin it on Smith but with Lounsbury taking the puck carrier and Boutin the net driver so that leaves Smith to read the play and provide support 5th one was probably the best pizza Loshing will ever serve up in his career (Real gourmet stuff, extra cheese and mushrooms)
