Just confirming, after going through everything, $29.75 is the price with everything in (opening night is much cheaper).
Looking at some alternatives, the movies are still under $20 per person, Fitrocks is under $20 a person, Bowlarama is $75 for up to 5 people, the Imperial Theatre is more (but they are different shows every time where people will pick and choose).
It's hard to justify that kind of money when a 7 o'clock (or 7:30) is horribly inconvenient to begin with (and outside of the Imperial Theatre, every other option above offers better flexibility).

What start time would you propose if 7pm is horribly inconvenient? You're forgetting to mention the various ticket packages you can get to avoid paying 'full price'. 1. Costco has discounted tickets - something like 44.95$ for two plus popcorn/drink 2. Family pack - 4 tickets for $50 plus four popcorn - using your examples, a two hour pass to the Trampoline park is $65 for two kids. 4 tickets to a movie theatre for 2 adults and 2 kids is $49 (not including the concessions etc). So while the $29.75 can come at a bit of a sticker shock, there are certainly other options out there. Hell, even if you're only two adults going it makes more sense to get the 4 for 50$ tickets.

My wife and I went bowling for a few weeks ago. For an hour bowling with shoe rental, an appetizer, and 2 waters came in around $50. I'm getting 2+ hours out of the hockey game. But i'm also getting a pretty bad product at times. Hell I might get an entire bad season or 2 depending on the cycle. The idea of paying for a ticket in 2023 for a team that might not reward me with any real success until the Spring of 2025 or 2026 is a tough pill to swallow when the team isn't great. Costco sells a Cineplex deal with 2 tickets, 2 drinks, and 1 popcorn for like $32. The Q used to be the among the cheapest forms of entertainment. $15 was around the standard. As we approach $30 and teams cry about attendance its impossible to feel any sympathy for them.

The timing is a byproduct of trying to reel in every crowd possible. 7pm on a school night is theoretically too late that most students should be going, but too early for anyone with younger children. By the same token, it makes absolutely no sense to me why every Saturday game happens at night. Costco still has Night Outs for the theatre, don't they? Also, Oasis's price changes depending on how tall your kid is (from 18 bucks for 2 hours to 28 for 2 hours), but there is always a one-hour option and it can be whenever.

The CHL scheduling games on a Saturday night would be like NCAA Football scheduling games on Sunday afternoons. It just makes no sense as a regular occurrence. Fans of the development league are likely also to be fans of the pro league. Or there's at minimum going to be a lot of crossover. You're trying to attract hockey fans by scheduling a junior game at the same time as when the country traditionally settles in to watch professional hockey on television. Why are you not using that information to schedule your own league properly? Just seems like common sense to me. Saturday nights should be off limits. Start at 2pm or 4pm on Saturdays. Or avoid it and make every effort to do Friday/Sunday home stands.

I don’t know, none of it is unreasonable to me. It’ll be nice when the hockey starts up again and we can talk about the games.

If attendance is low and tickets are almost $30 the games will start but that discussion won't necessarily end. Once your team starts blaming the lack of fans for bills not being paid and threatens the existence of the team maybe you'll view it a little differently. Its hard to be on board for supporting down years when so little regard is placed on the paying fan yet thats the person under attack when executives are challenged on their poor decisions.

$28.75 / game is getting up there. Curious to see all of the CHL ticket prices and how they compare across the country. There's a $1 service fee after that (then likely tax), so $30+ a game for a team that couldn't even be bothered to tell their fans who is still in town. 2 completely unrelated issues. Most die-hard fans aren't buying single game tickets. They already have season tickets or flex passes. Most casual fans that decide to buy single-game tickets the day of the game likely aren't too concerned about which bubble players made the roster out of training camp and which ones got cut while it's still summer. To be honest, I consider myself a pretty big fan, Maybe not as big as you but I have season tickets and follow the team quite a bit during the actual season, and I really couldn't care less about which bubble players are still with the team and which ones aren't.

Yeah this is definitely true. 99% of fans don't care who the bubble guys are. Especially with how good scouting is these days. There's very few players who shock anyone on the development curve and the ones that do are usually tied to growth spurts like a Batherson. It's still summer to most hockey fans. They won't care who is on what Q roster until November/December when the teams start looking to the trade period. And even then...its not borderline guys on bad teams that are up for grabs generally.

I've been hoping that this would happen since Charlottetown released him. A local and gives us an extra until Thifault comes back. The lineup for tonight hasn't been finalized yet (as of the last time I checked) but it looks like he could be playing with Beveridge and Bellemare. This could be an audition. With Elie taking draws, we could run something like: Simek - Reynolds - Reinhart Mateiko - Elie - Benoit Lyons - Beveridge - Bellemare Akkouche - Pierre-Noel - Calder/Beaulieu

Could be a nice pickup.
I liked his game....and scoring potential.

Well, looks like with the news release from today we can see why they didn’t bother to tell their fans who is still in town. There was nothing new to say.

Anyone watch the game last night? Much closer game compared to Friday. Just wondering anyone know if any players have been released yet?

Anyone watch the game last night? Much closer game compared to Friday. Just wondering anyone know if any players have been released yet? We have 15 up front and 2 guys out long term. We're likely sticking with the FW we have until Christmas. On D, we have 8 D here, though I still believe that MacLean was sent down and recalled as AP. Richard is with the team and should be one of the 8 when he's good to go. We only have two goalies left so there are no cuts there.
