Anyone have insight on who might be the favorite for the backup to Steinman? I would think Warren is the front runner just based on his performance in Junior A last season, but given the fact that they found Steinman with the ontario FA route I am not gonna count out Welk either. |

Regarding the Justin Dumais loan to Gatineau:
If he signs with Gatineau, Moncton will get a 5th round pick. If he’s still playing at 19, that pick will be upgraded to a 3rd.

Justin Dumais is in Gatineau’s lineup tonight which will make him ineligible for the NCAA.

Let’s just cross our fingers that he doesn’t blossom like his brother and we end up dealing away a 2 PPG player for a 3rd round pick. |

Article in the paper says they wanted to tell him before camp which is fine but I hope they didn't lead him on all summer,especially if he retires from hockey instead of playing Jr. A. Hope he didn't work out all summer for nothing when the team knew all along he wasn't in the plans.
Caleb Desnoyers won't be participating in intrasquad games. He's recovering from a lingering injury.

Alexis Daniel will not be back. Trenholm, Plandowski and Boutin will be the 20s. He doesn't want to be traded. Not being able to recoup a draft pick for him certainly stings. I thought this might happen when we didn't trade him earlier in the summer. |

I could see him being a guy who could light up Junior A at 20 before playing CIS. If he only wants to play close to home perhaps they could deal his rights to Bouctouche. |
