I'll be interested to see who stars between the pipes tonight. Prior to the weekend, I would have thought it ideal to have all three guys dress at some point and start a different guy at home than on the road.
But with goaltending, sometimes you have to ride the hot hand. Look at Jakob Robillard's time here. He was picked up as basically a castoff when Sherbrooke acquired Olivier Adam. But, when he arrived here he basically ran about a .925 save percentage for January and February. His out of this world stretch probably made a big difference between us finishing where we did vs being a non-playoff team.
Aside from the opening goal, Bickle looked very good going the distance in the tight game last night. I think you have to go back to him and see what he can do against the same team tonight.

Ozols to start tonight.
Powers in for Walker. Same lineup on the backend with Duguay out.

I'd like to see Maruna get more puck touches tonight.
He has the skill, and obviously I know that it takes time to adjust....and I don't expect him to fully adjust for awhile yet,but he is one talented forward with great size....and only 17.
Again, just like to see him around the puck more and use his size to his advantage.
I feel that he is a very skilled playet with a bright future in this league with the Isles.

Understand that the Moose are missing some pieces, but a great start to this game.
16yr old dman, Owen Conrad, scored his 2nd of the season and Michaud scored on a penalty shot.
2-0 Isles mid first period.

Ozols looked sharp as well, which is great to see!!
Slovakian native, Maruna, with a couple helpers...nice to see to build his confidence. Just what I wanted!

With the Moose missing some talented players, these are the games that the Isles need to win.
Despite being so early into the season, 2 wins and 4pts this opening weekend is nice to have near the latter part of the season.

Holy smokes way more better than last year watching haha. Hate to be this excited so early but this could be a fun year It's hard NOT to get excited when you see them playing this way! Compared to last year it's like night and day. Yes it's early and you won't get many predictions out of me (because hard times will come) but I said to my husband on the drive home...."if they play like that every game, win or lose, I'm happy!" They are playing with confidence and playing smart. It was painful last year to watch the same silly mistakes over and over. Growing pains, I know. I think if we can maintain this type of play....we may surprise some people this year! Woo!!!!!
