Won’t be back this season. Speculation or do you have facts? Speculation…but I just can’t imagine him being able to play. Not trying to start rumours or anything, if Hulton expects him back soon then that’s great for the team obviously |

Healthy....injury...." disciplinary"? If Campbell comes back with half the grit and determination Hughes came back with then we’ll be in good hands  These are young guys. Mistakes on and off the ice will happen. Campbell wouldn’t be dressed with the team at the arena if he was as done as the rumours are making him out to be. He’ll be back. Hopefully, with some lessons learned and more hunger and drive to win. Cause we need that! |

Accountability is a great lesson to be taught and I have no problem with Hulton holding his players accountable for whatever they do that may violate the expectations they hold for their players in terms of off ice or dressing room behavior.
The fact is this team as it's currently constructed needs both Hughes and Campbell in it's lineup because we lack real scoring threats thruout our lineup and those two kids are both among the top handful of ofensive players we can dress on a given night
we really need to land a top forward this trade period or next draft to develop along with Conrad and Kearsay on the blueline if we want to get back to contender status
starting to see the consequences of not having 1st round picks in consecutive years

Those GM's may never see that rebuild. The players from the big year(s) will be long gone. Maybe the coaches too. Trading that 16th/17th/18th overall the year you're good is fine. But losing and not picking 3rd/4th/5th sets the next rebuild back so much that at times it can take 2 cycles to get back to normal which means you're in a lost period for 5-6 years and probably have nothing to show for it. You'd think that over time someone would draw a hard line around the moving of future picks. You can have yesterdays first. Or this years. But not next years. And never 2 years away. But GM's get caught up in the arms race to fix as many flaws as they can for now and next year is treated like its never coming. Yet the prices are the same and there's no less of an expectation for the community to support the team. |

Drummondville's two big trades are mentioned in one of the game threads. In addition to Euro Komorov, they acquired 20 y/o Mikael Huchette. This probably makes things a little less likely that this is a destination for Michael Horth.

As impressive as Horth's totals are, Komarov for the 2024 CHA 1st is a better asset to pick up. Drummondville does on the 2024 Cha 2nd, so maybe that is a piece that could come here as part of a deal for Horth. It would be great to get a 1st coming our way as part of a deal involving Horth.

As mentioned in the Moose board, I feel that Reece Peitzsche would look good in an Isles jersey.
Center with very good size.
Right age. 17yrs old.
Better opportunity/ice time here with the Isles.
Would make perfect sense....imo.

Would make perfect sense....imo. Yes! You’re not wrong. Buuuuuut to get you need to give and the Islanders have nothing of interest to Halifax. Don’t bring up Horth in this again. He’s plateaued and is playing to his old norms. I don’t know what picks you guys have but some sort of 3 way deal could make sense. |
