They got Boutin for a 3rd (at the draft) in that deal too, he was immediately flipped to Moncton for a 1st It was a 2nd and a 3rd for Boutin coming in. Then going out it was Boutin and a 2nd and a 6th for the 1st and a 7th. So it was two 2nds and one 3rd and a 6th for the 1st and a 7th with Boutin coming and going. No the 2nd cancels out. Gatineau sent over their 2024 2nd right after they got it back from another deal, so it was really just swapping a 2023 2nd for a 2024

I'm I out of touch by saying that if the Titan bring in a top 4 D that we could have one of the better top 4's on the backend?
Clements and Perron did wonders in bigger roles in the second half and if they take another step they'll be even tougher to face.
Laberge has been amazing as a rookie, he plays such a calm and collective game and has skill. If he gets another good partner next season he could be in for like a 40 point year.
Reynolds should be back as well of course and while Macgillivray has had some good moments I'm wondering if they replace him with someone younger.

With Clements and Perron, this will probably be the strongest duo in the league. Those guys can take 25 minutes per game.
Laberge has already played more than 20 minutes in many games after Christmas and he will be used in several roles next year. Buteau could be a very good complement to Laberge who will be able to play even more offensively. That line is also able to manage 23-25 minutes per game.
Reynolds/Rookie + MacGillivray/Deleau will take the rest and their role will be updated in january
This will be a really good D Squad for sure

He adds something really needed to this lineup which is size. Also 14 goals for A D-man isn't bad at all, could hit 20 next year maybe.

He's better off going to a rebuilding Quebec team where he can get more time. The rest I think you're pretty spot on.

Any new rumors on what the team may do come draft day? only thing's I've heard myself is that Buteau is coming from Rouyn (from another poster on here don't remember who), Titan may also look to move into the top 5 of the draft. Also wouldn't be surprised if Deleau is moved, and Titan draft a new euro over Ponzetto. Other than that haven't heard all too much. Still unknown who's coming from Victoriaville

Id offer the lot for Pick 1 as cape is looking to move it they might be better off getting multiple firsts and filling in there gaps for next season rather than making one big splash like cataford or gauthier (very wishful thinking i know)

Not sure if that's the route I'd go, think I'd rather multiple prospects other than just the 1st overall prospect. Buteau should be a huge add in terms of helping Laberge even more. He's a big body to replace Mburanumwe and also has some offensive upside.

Heard gendron is headed you way would make a lot of sense, NB born guy, potential 2 year player and brings some much needed size to the roster. Although he hasn't been all that great offensively up this point for a former 1st rounder so I hope the picks we return isn't too crazy. I can't see his value being overly high. He could get better with more ice time for us next year though and he's having a solid playoffs so far so I hope it works out.

so with the rumored deals in place already for the draft we can be looking at something along these lines Huggan - - Gendron Euro - Belanger - Lallier Pilgrim-Edwards - St-Onge - Sharkey draft - Peddigrew - Frechette? draft - Dickson? - Marmulak? Collette? etc. The forward core still needs some additions in my opinion. Gendron brings some much needed size and hopefully he can have an even bigger season offensively, I don't think Belanger is ready to be the 1C but bringing one in without spending a bunch of picks is tough. Unless we can grab a top euro center. Interested to see what Gordie does for this forward group. Clements - Perron Buteau - Laberge Reynolds - MacGillivray draft? The D core is pretty well set, however I wouldn't be apposed to an upgrade on MacGillivray, especially a right-hand shot. Buteau is pretty much the perfect replacement for Mburanumwe and should help Laberge take another step. Keller draft Hopefully Keller is back but if not then Fleming can hold the fort or we can go out and acquire a good OA goalie as there will likely be a decent amount of them on the market. on paper this team isn't terrible at all, the D core is strong, goaltending has potential to be strong, our forward core is lacking a bit and we have no true "star power." If we can round out the top 6 we have potential to be even better this year. Replacing Orr and Roelens production will be tough though but we may have more depth this time around.
