I was told that Ianniello was released earlier this week. Sadly, the only reason to have 9D is if a D were hurt (with it feared longterm) and process of elimination would say that it would have to be Bilodeau or Amyot (if it were a 20, we would likely pivot to the other 2 20s, and if it were any of the younger D below Amyot, we would likely send them down so that they weren't trying to get up to speed at this level (and potentially call them up at Christmas). For right now, we have 10D, but Mann doesn't really count towards an opening night count because he will be gone in 3 weeks (missing the beginning of the year) and we don't know if he will be back. Up front, unless we add someone from Ontario or West, we are sticking with 13 (assuming that Richard goes down). Heard the same thing but was surprised to see him on the roster that was released earlier in the week. Perhaps a few injuries forced them to keep/bring him back. |

Any thoughts on what the leadership team will look like this year (Captain + Alternates)? I would not count in Beverage at this point. There is things going on. Semi confirmed that EB will not return to the team until possibly later in the season. |

Did the team let him go or did he leave on his own? If he left on his own he probably wanted to get playing time. It must be hard on these kids sitting and watching.

I would think it was a hard decision for him but probably the right one as nobody wants to sit in stands.

First full team practice tomorrow.. be great to see the full team on the ice for the first time.

First full team practice tomorrow.. be great to see the full team on the ice for the first time. Great practice today.. full team attending The team looked great.. Gravel was on the ice with the team for the first time, still wearing BC colors. Mateko and Peddle were on fire... expect lots from them this year. Shenk completed their line .. looked deadly in practice. Mateko..Mann and Peddle will depart for NHL camps soon enough..wish they were playing the opener. Robinson looked great in net, making some highlight reel saves in the practice. Surprises lie ahead for the opposing teams this year..not the same team they played last season.. more speed.. creativity.. and skill for sure. |

What's the reason why Beveridge isn't reporting till later in the year? He already burned off his NCAA eligibility by playing last season didn't he?

Why is there so little news about his status and none from the team? I think if it was a physical injury, the team would have already mentioned it. Remember that he is only 17. Any other reasons would respectfully not be discussed I assume. I sure hope that he will be back soon, great player. |

If they expected Beveridge to be out long-term, it would make sense to have 14 forwards so that SJ has an extra for now. At that point, Richard would have been 12th forward for the foreseeable future and likely an every day player. |
