Fun to be back at the SBC, walking on the Concourse seeing all the people I know, I'm a huge fan of LED lights, Moose with the smoke and his eye lights up, Love that Battle on the Boards is back. Hot Dogs from heaven, I think the new owner's well maybe it's their 2nd or 3rd season now but they really took the stuff from the STH survey it seems and listened trying to enhance fan experience, Pre-game does feel like an NHL rink now.
Boys played a really solid first period, Rooster kept them in it when he had too, 2nd period both teams weren't giving each other much. Moose really turned on in the 3rd, and really withstood the Que pressure really well on the 5 on 4. This team is so fun to watch, I love the new coach he's getting results and the kids are working hard. I was terrified when Levesque went down(especially after the broken Wrist last year) didn't look good initally but the Kid came back and played. Bring on Catty and Rim!

I really like the hypno moose. I think it's cool - lots of pro teams have lightning coils, fire, or smoke going off when they score. Not saying we're them, but it feels more premium to me and it looks sick. I mean it cost 500K so it better be "premium" lol

I didn't get out to any games last year, so this was the first game I've been to since Game 6 v.s. Quebec in the 2023 playoffs. I'm interested in the goal horn they were using last night - after the horns, there were two verses of the Mooseheads song ("Power up the boards, turning on the juice... Slap! Shot! Shoot! Score! You just can't stop the moose!") followed by Pipe Dreamz (the Scotland the Brave song they've used as long as I've watched the Mooseheads) until play restarts.
Is this horn/song combo brand new, or was it like this at all last year? I saw a mention in a thread from last year that the goal horn changed last playoffs but couldn't tell what changed. I think it could be really cool if the crowd got involved in a "Slap! Shot! Shoot! Score!" chant after every goal, BUT I do feel like the way it is now doesn't have nearly the same energy as the wailing bagpipes right after the horns go. Just my two cents!
I'm really looking forward to following this year! It was a good exciting game, and some of my favorite Mooseheads memories as a fan have been from underdog years!

The horn / song combo is TECHNICALLY not new, they introduced it for the playoffs last year, where we got to hear it all of 3 times (one for a goal that didn't count because it was after t he time expired) So, we got to hear it more times last night than we did all of last year. The updated graphics on the big screen are new (which they did an amazing job with. Clearly they hired a video editor/graphic designer, new custom interface) As are the LEDs on the stantion and of course the weird giant Moosehead. The Mooseheads have an unintentionally religious theme this year, what with our Lord and savior and now what looks like some pegan god presiding over our home games. We must please the moose god with tributes of goals XD
