Isles just announced the signing of Thomas Sirman - a 20 y/o D man from the Ottawa 67s.
3 year veteran of the OHL…could be a nice add on the backend to replace Steen - with likely a bit more offence.
Does this signal the end of Hughes or do we continue with four? There’s no way you can take Gorionov out of the lineup at this point.
He’s also the brother of former Islander Will Sirman.

20 y/o players will be a little on pins and needles for the rest of the trip waiting for the other shoe to drop. No one will be released while on the road, but I imagine they will want to get Sirman in the lineup this weekend.
We are close to Nov. 1. What is the status of Voyaga. If he returns before the end of the month, then Goriunov is back to watching as we wait on our Euro situation. Remember our Euros are currently Goriunov and Radicojevic until Nov. 1 when we can declare Radicojevic as a Euro who did not report and then we retain his rights while playing with Voyaga and Goriunov.

Interesting tidbit…Radicojevic signed in the USHL…but hes coming to the maritimes for team Slovakia training camp…and actually playing a game at the Eastlink Centre vs Germany. Maybe the club can do some convincing..

He would instantly be our best defenceman.

Radivojevic is likely a late 1st round pick/high 2nd round pick in the NHL once drafted, some scouts/platforms even had him ranked high 1st round, he would 100% make a huge impact for the Iles if he comes.

Aurora actually, but I'm sure you know that. Again, who gives a shit where any player is from? BPA-Best player available. Hopefully this ends the tryout for Hughes. He's awful.

Hahahaha You’ve had it out for Hughes since the beginning of the season. The entire team is not producing. It took Huckins like 20 games to get a goal last year and you were saying “be patient” but Hughes has a slow start and “he’s awful” 🧐 There isn’t a person on the team who’s finding solid success right now. Hughes is a work horse on the ice. He may not light up the score board but he’s involved in the play, solid in the corners and has earned a spot. He’s likely going to be traded anyways. Then you’ll get your wish…
