1. Although I can understand how some would have thought it to be a good idea to have the players "introduce" themselves via the scoreboard screens, it was rather dull. When players are in front of the camera, they're, well, boring. You need the anouncer to bring the crowd into it.
2. Laser tag sucked.
3. I love the added pictures of alumni who played in the NHL!
4. The intermission guy (who is apparently doing the player intro now?) is a lot better then last year. Seems much more comfortable in his role.
5. I like the idea of the ticket holders' entrance. It will simplify everybody's life really.
6. Where is Welcome to the Jungle before the puck drops??? It's an awesome song to get the game started!
7. Anyone else feels like they should have kept Tomar's roar in the goal horn? Not in honour of the tiger, but I found it sounded really good with it. Made things different, a good different.

Where is the season ticket holder entrance at ? It's not a season ticket holder entrance, simply a ticket holder entrance. If you already have your ticket, be it season or not, you can go in through the right-most door of the lobby. From there, it's a very short walk to the doors to the rink.

I found the begining of teh game sucked..Fireworks etc...It didn't have the Irving flair that it usually does...I still think they should get some of the area school cherleaders etc..to help get the crowd into it..for the home opener after a long summer I found the crowd was not into it like they should have been... Tomars Roar should be back for sure... Lazer tag?? Where were the lazers? For theseason opener winning in overtime added some excitment..I found it very boring...But there is always next sunday!!!!! A win is a win!!!!

The fireworks were meh. All they did was startle ya. I kinda liked the players introducing themselves. Although you couldn't always understand what they were saying. I liked it. I would take that over hearing Gauthier announce all 20+ players. The laser tag was a joke. Like were there even really lasers? I thought you had to wear a vest for that. Stupid. There are some new things I did kinda like. The intros for the players being one. The thing on the screen they had to show the next game. I thought that was kinda cool. One thing I don't really don't get, although it does make it look a little more fancy, is the things at the entrances. Not sure what they call them though. Metal thing that you kinda have to push through.

I thought the fireworks were bad, the ones that shoot up when the players come out of the cat barely worked. The ones that blow up scare the bejesus out of yah. I like the players introducing themselves but edit so its more like the Monday night football. I expected the new GM to say something or to be introduced. The intermition guy is less annoying but still should not be an announcer.

I agree the opening where the players into themselves was ok.. (needs abit more something to spice it up). But the video of the past and looking forward really took any excitement or buzz out of the crowd. Very poorly done..boring as hell.. The first period was boring.. I think it was a mix of having watched 2 games of the NYI over the weekend and how much slower it is in the Q.. Took time to adjust back to this level, plus it was just plain boring anyways.. The interference calls for touching the goalie were awful.. I was right behind the net on one of them and the wildcat was clearly pushed into the goalie.

Up in Bathurst, Morehouse fell down in front of Tardif and landed on top of him, pushing him into the net with the puck under him........they called it a goal, although I don't know how they could have..........different refs, different calls, different consistancy.

Morehouse didn't fall down on his own ... he was pushed/tripped/hooked by the Titan defender as he was going hard to the net and fell into the goaltender. If he had gone into the goaltender all on his own I doubt its a goal.

They said in the pregame that the Titan tying goal should not have counted as it was a high stick. The replay equiment was not functionning so they did not catch it at the time in Bathurst. Maybe they can fine the team for that?

According to the Q site no Titan player touched that puck as Messier was credited with the goal and he was the one who took the original shot. I do however sit behind that net and Clendenning batted the puck in with the blade of his stick, which was under the crossbar.
On the Moorehouse goal he was driving to the net and Svoboda took him down with a slash and was gonna get a penalty until the puck was seen in the net.

Now if the problem crops up during the game.. then ofcourse its not their fault...

Made things different, a good different. #1. totally agree #2. well its just some intermission entertainment , I was gone to the toilette, and anyway I think it was some sort of corporate sponsor thing #3. didn't notice them #4. agreed a tad less annoying #5. agree #6. I absolutely HATE that song! GNR 1985/86 come on. theirs not even a player that was born when that came out. they should re-do the whole music thing in the coliseum get it up to date. ask the players and the young fans what they like, go get some young hip DJ. "Start me up" overplayed and very tacky, I like the stones and all but still, and "we will Rock you" how many people get into that now, maybe when I was in high school but not any more. just my opinion #7. don't really care. either way
