For what it's worth, I agree with jimmy- I too think MacAusland will contribute with 30-40 points this year. He could also see time on as high as the second line in the event of a couple of injuries. As far as I am concerned, I enjoy as much what I saw so far from Critchlow....probably more. What does that have to do with MacAusland? You love every player on the Titan, no use trying to compare.

I have a hunch MacAusland will end up with 30-40 points .... not predicting he is a superstar this year ... but I think he will contribute. How will he get 40 pts playing on the 4th line? Im a big MacAusland fan but unless he gets top 2 line icetime theres no way he gets more than 20. I think you'll see him have similar success to Marchand at 16 ... he worked himself from a spot where he wasn't in the lineup everynight ... to a 4th line regular ... and then getting a load of 2nd line icetime. Marchand struggled to score at 16 but had loads of chances to do so ... never saw a guy hit so many posts that year. Then at 17 he was an important part of a Championship team. Tessier is a similar player too ... he forced Roy to give him regular top line icetime with his play. I don't expect MacAusland to have the same success ... but I think they have similar skill levels (at 16) ... and he just might work himself into a 2nd line role if he is out performing others.

How do you know about them? In street slothes? I will admit that Baca will be a nice physical guy if he can stay healthy but he is not gonna be able to go around and play the body without retaliation and this is where it will be interesting to see his reactions. Having played somewhere else does not always translate in the Q and its gruelling schedule.....this is a very inexperienced defense corps. This is the Q not Afghanistan. There are tons of examples of Jr.A free agents stepping in and doing a very good job in the Q. What is going to happen to Baca if he plays physical, somebody will get out a gun and shoot him? You have a strange way of using ridiculous stuff to knock players on other teams that you'd never use on your own. Funny how suddenly camp and exhibition games have become very significant to you! We will see better Friday how Eastman and Gomes fare in the Q... Nothing like regular season....

Moncton is deeper up front than they were the year Marchand broke in at 16 though.

Flynn is not an idiot, he won't keep 19 year olds to be #6-7 d-men...well except Herr but he is there to fight mostly.

What I saw so far from Chamberland makes him a solid #4 stay-at-home type.

At least we saw Critchlow in preseason....compared to you seeing MacAusland in intra-squad..... MacAusland was rated a top prospect in the draft(top 5) by all teams and every scouting service out there. He was a top scorer at the Canada Games at 15 with the best 16 year olds in Canada(including Pietrangelo Stamkos Teubert Beach Sauve etc)...only somebody completely cluess would make a comment like that.

I find he is more suited to the "old" rules. He is not super mobile and even Couturier compared him to Leduc who took a record number of hooking and holfing penalities his last year.
