Interesting that Charlie gets the start again tonight.....that is 4 in a row.
Is there something going on with Nicola......Flynn says he is going with the hot goalie but something smells fishy to me.....

I said it once, and I'll say it again, I am so far disapointed with the coaching that we have seen for the Wildcats.
The team's "system" seems to be quite inexistant too many times. The roster choices are very debatable very often. The special teams suck too much (although the powerplay has gotten better) and the coaches seem unable to motivate the players.
Just a couple of examples:
-Gomes still being in the lineup while Baca, who's game improves on a day by day basis, remains in the stands. Gomes has done barely anything to justify his presence on the ice over Baca, or over almost anyone, and yet constantly remains on the ice with big minutes. But really, having Baca in the stands is not acceptable IMO. He is improving and is, to me, probably the 4th best defenseman we have after Eastman, Barberio and Wilson.
-The Labelle situation. With a team severely lacking pure offensive talent (or simply offense), you would expect a coach would try to help his offensive players out of bad habits and slumps. Labelle simply sits or plays on the 4th line. I agree with giving someone a wake up call, but this was much more then that.
-Riopel riding the bench for a 4th consecutive game. I do not care who has the hot hand, that is simply not acceptable. If Riopel would have struggled, then fine. But he was too often the only reason the Wildcats were even competitive during games to deserve this. The team has started playing better. I think that is more indicative of the "hot hand" then Lavigne playing well. This situation seems like a coach who is scared to lose his job.
This is the first time I have ever criticized a coaching staff with this team, but I think it's time that they start taking some of the criticism as it is deserved IMO.

I usually wouldn't believe this coming out of your mouth.. but there might be something to it.. the fact Lavigne is playing his 4th straight? Something is up.

Riopel was overlooked at the draft and may feel that playing on a bottom dweller will hurt his chances at ever being noticed.

Although that is possible, really anything could be. Maybe he had a girlfriend and a bad breakup and he wants out of Moncton. Maybe he got insulted by a teamate. Maybe he wants to return to his home province. Maybe he doesn't get along with Flynn or Bergevin-Jean.
I think we should lay off the speculations. They wont get us anywhere and will do more harm then good.

Has anybody thought that maybe Flynn is showcasing Lavigne? There is a shortage of solid goalies and maybe they are looking to deal him at the deadline. His stats are decent and he is only 19 and doesn't use up a 20 YO spot. Just thinking out loud.
