I don't think you'd see Lavigne traded. Who knows if all the rumors about Riopel are true, but if are, then you'd see Bolduc here to backup whoever is gone if any. I am sure Labelle will be traded, can't see Baca being traded....

The language issue is not such a big deal if anyone has ever really tried talking to Baca. It could be that Flynn is trying to do just what he has done before. As a coach, he is trying to bring all of our young players up. Even Gomes has improved since the beginning of the season. Sure, they are not perfect and some learn faster than others. At the same time, we have to ice a team for the games. This is a difficult process because of the lack of skill and experience we currently have. It doesn't appear that any of the players who are sitting out are suffering as they are coming along rather well. They may not be happy with the amount of ice time they are getting, but it's a team effort.

The 3 moves I find truly baffling are...
1-Baca not playing every game...language or not, he brings more to the table than Herr Boyle and probably Wilson given that he's the only big defenseman apart from Berberio(who doesn't hit). Herr has no future in the Q, if he was at least intimidating I could see keeping him but he's basically a middleweight 8th d-man.
2-Rio not starting for 10 days. I know they started winning with Lavigne but goaltending was not the issue before, they simply started scoring more(including on the PP), not sure how that's because of Lavigne. You simply don't do that to your #1 goalie who basically carried you for 6 weeks when you couldn't score.
3-Labelle This team could not score for 6 weeks and kept running Cameron out with Marquardt and having Labelle in the stands or 4th line...even with Cameron out, they shift Eagles to center and Labelle still palys on the 4th line. That basically takes one of your biggest assets and takes away half his value when you trade him in December. When you have little organisational depth, that really hurts.

With Baca i don't think the coaches are thrilled with his hockey sense and how he doesn't use his size like i stated before.
The Rio thing Flynn has said many times that Rio won them games and he isn't stupid and nows that they are going for it next year and the year after so Rio will be a 20 year old. Lavigne has won a few games here in a row and maybe has the teams confidence a little older a little cockier (baseball batting the puck after the shootout). I think he should continue to ride the hot hand because lavigne's early stats were really good and only lost his first like 3 games by a goal. Build up the stats and move him out and unload at Christmas.
With Labelle, Flynn has said in the paper on cats corner who ever asks him that Labelle is a great great kid. The problem is he isn't a gritty 2 way guy. So like i said earlier for him to be effective you have to take someone off the top 2 lines out. An he just isn't better than any of them. But if you watch you will see that although he plays on the fourth line he is always out there on the second PP which shows that flynn wants him get points he just can't squeeze him in to the top two

If more players were playing to the best of their ability the Wildcats would be a contender.

one thing is that the answer i got for why the #1 goalie was not in net was that " i am going with the one that win , if he wins tonight and 8 games in the row he will be the one to start " that is just stupid . So what i see is that Rio Should start the next game in Lew but never know right . and on the French part of thing , i did take the time to talk to a few players and ask a few question and it does look like that the coach does talk and maintain more a social with the english Kids then the french(he berly or never talk to the french kids or even try) , so is that Discrimination or just favoritism.

As much as I wanna think that everything that is coming out of Doofus' mouth is not true.. there "could" be something to it. The fact Riopel hasn't played makes me wonder. He's not sick and he can't be injured because wouldn't he need to be replaced in the AllStars vs Russia thing? There's something to this.. Lavigne doesn't play all those games because he's "hot" .. he hasn't been THAT good. C'mon.

We'll see on Tuesday, I guess.
