Bring a teddy bear, as it's apparently the teddy bear toss today!
I never knew, got a call from my girlfriend saying it was posted in the paper! I remember last year wasn't it in Febuary or something? I would have expected it to be on the Wildcats' site or at least to receive one of those mass sent emails!
Anyways, don't forget! It's for a good cause! And wrap them in plastic bags!

I heard them say it last game.. but I was a little surprised.. a little earlier than it usually is. I think this is the better time to have it.. just in time for Christmas.

I don't think this is a good time to have it at all. The place will probably be half empty yet again and less people = less bears. After X-Mas is a much better time to have it because the crowds get bigger.

That's Bears people donated and won't be able to toss them out.

Did Moncton get a delay of game penalty when theytossed them out onto the ice? Actually, I'm surprised they didn't, the way Charron was calling this game. Seriously, though, this is done every year, and not just by Moncton, They get permission from the league to do this.

A tradition started by Rimouski if I'm not mistaken that has spread to others in the league, and to other leagues as well! When Rimouski gets their teddy game, take a look at some pictures. It's incredible how many toys are on the ice!

i knew teams did stuff like this but i thought they waited for the intermission The point is to throw them onto the ice when the home team scores its forst goal. Not too many goals are scored during the intermission.

now THATS a teddy bear toss. "The current record was set by the fans of the Calgary Hitmen less than a month later, on December 10, when Ryan White scored a short-handed goal 14 minutes into the first period of their game against the Prince George Cougars. 15,540 teddy bears were thrown onto the ice by the 16,380 fans in attendance.[1] This was the 12th Teddy Bear Toss to occur at a Calgary Hitmen game."

That's nuts.. I've never seen anything like that before.

Anyone else love how the whole Chicoutimi team and coaching staff ran to the dressing room behind the bench during the toss? haha

Anyone else love how the whole Chicoutimi team and coaching staff ran to the dressing room behind the bench during the toss? haha I think you travel here to win. If the coach can get a private moment with the team to discuss what he would between the periods, then you go for it. The teady bear toss is a Moncton thing and has nothing to do with them. It seemed to work.
