Do you think with a couple days left in the trading period JB will make any moves for now or the future of this team. If so what do we need and what are we willing to give up??

I think we need one or two energy guys that will bang and crash. Zach Sill and Scott Brannon would be nice, guys that will shut the other teams top lines down.

I don't think JB does anything, although I'm surprised he hasn't dealt Pard to a Quebec based team for a draft pick. I wonder if Pard plans to come to camp next season?

I voted yes.
I think there is something missing mainly like Major said a guy or 2 to help shutdown the opposing teams top line. These guys would come cheaper then goal scorers or PPG guys obviously. In think we took care of the PPG guys when we picked up Howes & PH the top 2 lines are fine as is.
I do like Leasky's idea of checking out the scene in CB and see if maybe they might be willing to part ways with Culligan because we are gonna need some solid 20's next year. I guess this would be more of want I'd like to see as opposed to what JB will likely do.
I'm not sure what Fullerton's stock is worth right now but teams in need of goaltending might have alot of interest and I'd really like to have a better backup to Mayer next year then Passingham. Not to bash Passy or anything but if next year is "the year" Passy will need alot of work to be ready. He'll need to play about 20 games including several while Mayer is at the Jr's in the B Pool and not to mention if he gets injured.

I doubt you guys open your piggy bank to get the two of them. Both guys will cost quite a bit. Brannon is a 1st rounder and will cost at least that ... he is only 18 ... we have no need to trade him so you have to pay through the nose to get him. Sill is our best all around player and will cost you two big assets ... a young player and a 1st. Again ... if you don't want to pay that then we have no need to trade him ... he will be back next year and wearing the C.

I think you should get a nice return for him though if you did trade him. He is a money goaltender ... really knows how to step it up in the playoffs (although he hasn't been there in the Q as a #1). I've seen him single handedly win playoff series in both MAAA and Jr A facing 50 shoits a night. You guys might be surprised how far you can go with Fullerton in goal ... if he rises to the occasion like he has done before you could actually win it all. I would stand pat if I was Beaulieu ... you guys and the fans need the playoff experience and the current roster could go deep in the playoffs. It will all be an investment on next year when you are the team to beat ... and two teams from the Q go to the Mem Cup.

I don't think he WILL trade Fullerton just a thought more then anything really. I would like to pick up a better backup then Passingham for next year though one way or another.
We really need a couple shutdown guys though for the opposing teams top line. Whether it's Sill or Brannon (just examples) or other players it doesn't matter it's an area that we could really improve on.

I voted no, I can't see anything on the table that we would be willing to upset team chemestry for.....when the trading period started J.B. the GM said that he would be interested in an 18 yo right handed shooting forward, but J.B. the coach said that we would most likely stand pat with the group we have..... I think that the right thing was done, nothing.

It just depends on how good he feels about whether Leduc, Gauthier, and Kirkpatrick can handle the duty of shutting down other teams top lines.

I think over the next couple of weeks you will see him experiment more with other players in certain spots. The drastic move to put Thomas on defence really surprised me. I thought maybe he would be given a shot at the right handed forward we needed. In any case I am anticipating some interesting moves by JB this week as we know can afford the luxury of dropping a couple of games without losing to much grounds in the standings.

I think JB should call the Titan GM sounds like he's in the giving mood now I can't figure that guy out for the life of me.

We don't have a lot of holes. The only thing I can see is moving a depth forward to open a spot for a young'un and that isn't necessary. Also, if Langan plays 2 more games, he has to stay with us.

I think we are going to need a defenseman. The Thomas experiment did not work and it is tough to turn into a defenseman in the middle of the year and especially in the Q. Someone on the D line is leaving, that is my guess!!

Thomas played D because Despres's gear didn't arrive.

I think Saint John would be foolish to not make any moves.
Just look at Lewiston last year. They stood pat thinking that they could be strong two years in a row- they didn't want to take away from the following season.
Well, standing pat was the right move for them because they won the championship. But they were in first place at the time. No one here seems to expect SJ to win the title this year.
Now what's happened in Lewiston this year... they've had to deal with a number of unexpected departures. You don't know for sure what the future will bring. For all we know Didomenico could make Toronto next season. (It seems laughable, but Perron is in St. Louis this year!) I can understand not trading away any major players but if I think SJ should definitely do something.
