I never said a word about it you did. I thought JB was right on the mark last night. Should be a good finish to the year playing this way. Try posting without swearing there are kids in here. Springer...try posting once...just once...without referring to that fucking playing two lines all the time. You might like it, and stop doing it, or do it less, for which I'd be eternally grateful. Yes you did say a word about it, just in a positive way this time instead of negative because JB finally gave the 3 and 4 lines the kind of ice time you've been crying for all year. Its still the same "play the bottom line guys more" subject matter though.

So JB got smater, not my fault. This tactic could win us first place. Find me one intelligent person that does not see Dido dragging his ass in the thrid period? Last night was textbook coaching sorry if that is how I see it but I think this will pay huge dividends in the upcoming weeks.

Look around the league, use the telus webcasts, we don't overplay our top lines anymore then any other team. In games I have seen I think we play the fourth line more then most teams. Where were you when Larue was coaching and had his 4th line stapled to the bench for the entire game. Pat Leask was lucky to hit the ice for a shift a game. I saw in many games where they were on the bench the entire game with no shifts at all.

Brett averaged around 10-15 seconds a game

It's a good thing J.B. reads this forum, and takes your word as seriously as you do ....last night didn't look a lot different than any other game, maybe you just took notice of the other half of the team being on the ice for a change(they've been there all along)....as far as Dido dragging his butt off the ice, thats more of his own design than anything drawn out by the coaching staff....they yell his name about 10 times a game to change up after his linemates have done so and he's still out there....but maybe I'm the only one who hears "DIDO" yelled on a consistent basis along with "Kevin move your feet" and "Stichy move it quick"

Do you truly believe that Saint John is the only team that plays their top player alot sometimes double shifting? Come on man start watching other teams closer it happens all the time how bout Chicoutimi with Pare? or Baie Comeau with Bouchard? How much do you think CB played Sheppard last year? I don't think JB needs to refer to our kick ass web board for coaching advice ;D

*laughs* I'm not going to argue this with you. The subject has been beat to death, but there are more positives to rolling your lines semi-equally than just "fresh legs", and there are tons of negatives to rolling those lines semi-equally also, especially on the road.
There have been times where Gallant, Thomas and company have been out there pinned in our end, sucking wind and exhausted and having to ice the puck, get scored on or have the goalie cover it too you know.
How much would the point totals of the top line boys be reduced with a reduction in icetime?
Just touching on some negatives to your idea. There are more positives too to your idea. What I am getting at is we all know by now you want the bottom 2 lines played more and feel it would be beneficial to us to do so. There's no need to post "oh I wonder how this will effect us late in the year and playoffs" every time JB doesn't roll the lines to your liking, and vice versa when he rolls them to your satisfaction.
Of course you CAN post every time about it. Its a board and you can post whatever subject you want. No offense intended really. I'm just thinking if you feel that passionately about that particular subject, you probably have some other ideas and such that are worth hearing instead of this same one over and over.

You talking about my prediction in that point pool where I had them at 2nd place in the division? I looked back at yours and you had them finishing third so you didn't do much better! ;D
They'll finish 5th or 6th...likely 5th. Depends on how hot the Fog Devils can keep playing, because I don't think Bathurst is as bad as they have been playing recently.
I want Bathurst first round in the playoffs. Its dangerous because they are the team I hate the most, and if they knocked us out....I'm sure you get the drift. It's the ultimate risk versus reward situation for me, so bring it on.
If not Bathurst in the first round I hope we finish second behind Halifax and get PEI.
I DO NOT WANT THE FOG DEVILS!!!! You could almost just flip a coin for that one. I think we'd come out on top but have nothing left for round two.

I think we could take four here at worst.

Yeah but if we lose one at home it suddenly gets very interesting indeed does it not? Plus even if both teams swept at home, would you really want a seven game first round that involved going to NFLD twice in there? Would not be the best setup at all to try and win a second round matchup against whoever.
