As the standings show today the Seadogs are in first place a point ahead of both Halifax & Cape Breton & 5 points ahead of Lewiston. They do have 4 games in hand on Cape Breton and 2 in hand on lewiston while they have played the same amount as Halifax.People know games in hand are great but you still need to win these to work for you.The schelude is going fast and they have a total of 7 games left between these teams ( Halifax,Cape Breton,Lewiston ) Halifax- 2 away Cape Breton- 2 away lewiston 3(2 away 7 1 Home ) The month of March will tell you where this team will finish as they play these teams 4 times on the road (1 Lewiston, 2 Cape Breton, 1 Halifax ) This should be an interesting finish to what I think is a very sucessful season for this team. What do you Seadog fans think

I think they'll have a Top 3 finish...Halifax is just too strong for the Dogs on offence...Marchand and Voracek are just sick.

Dogs 3rd or second would be awesome but with the killer road schedule 4th is more probable just look at the distance we travel from the val dor RN and gat trip then 1 day off and in lewy.............thats near impossible

I don't think we can keep the pace with the Mooseheads but I can see us finishing 2nd possibly. Starting Feb, we have 20 games left and 14 are on the road so it will be tough.

Maybe this should be a poll thread? Anyway I think we finish third. February and March will be tough with all those road games. Halifax passes us by for sure. I think Lewiston might sneak up there ahead of us too. Hopefully Cape Breton keeps slumping. Otherwise fourth is very possible.
Fourth still gets us home ice in the first round, which could be very big. That 1st round will be wide open I think, aside from whatever team has to play Halifax, who should breeze through round one.

I take it your backing off the AB finishing 2nd thing? ;D

Like I said in another thread, I see us as a top 3 team...but with some hot goaltending we could make a close race for the division title..... either way it would be sweet to have home ice and game 1 in a playoff series so any where above 4th is like "gravy", so to speak.

Actually, the 1 and 2 will have a pretty sweet first round getting the dregs of the Telus division and PEI/Moncton respectively.

I think were locked into 2nd spot too. 3-6 will be a battle though.

It really depends that road trip is gonna be tough on them but home ice advantage would be huge and that shouldn't be a problem at least for RD 1

After the hole we dug oursleves out of after the first year mess the playoffs will be sweet no matter where we finish. However I would think after working this hard a top four finish would be their goal. Again the way he used his lines last night should keep our legs fresher and give us a little more bite on the road trips.

He did mention at one point early in the season that he had hoped to have Anthony playing on the 2nd line.
The third line looks like it might be Gauthier, Leduc, and Kirkpatrick
Which leaves Charland, Thomas, Stoddard, and Gallant so who sits?
