Why do posters feel that additional players are still required to complete the Picard- Hooper and Howes trades. I haven't been able to find that info on the Q site or elsewhere. They can only move 20's during the non-trade period so teams make deals for players to be moved later all the time they just can't say anything (Euro's can be traded too)

The Q site won't reflect it. But the picks weren't close to what we should have paid. We gave a 4th and a 9th for Howes, when in reality, he probably costs the 4th and St. Laurent. We cannot trade roster players other than 20s and euros outside of the trade period, so this is a futures trade. Also, the Picard trade was two 3s and a 5 for Picard and a 6, which supposedly would become Amyot, a 3rd, and a 5th for Picard and a 6th.

Actually, they came from radoter. They were from fans of BaC and Drummondville. And the Drummondville one was specifically a 17 year-old goaltender, which is either Passingham or St. Laurent (though we aren't about to trade Passingham and have no backup until Mayer comes back). And the other was specifically Amyot for the third.

Lot of guessing going on without any real info. The initial reference to Amyot being involved in the Picard- Hooper trade came from a poster on the Moosehead site(LaLaLaprise) and I can not find where anyone did any further checking or additional verification for validity. Interesting to see what really occurs but I believe the deals are done now. I don't know if it was Lala or if that ugly rumor started with this reply #19- 20 and 21....Hopefully Amyot stays here, he has really started to play with more confidence recently, and it would be a big hit to our blueline unless we have another deal for a Dman in the works.

we hope it isn't, but that is what has been rumored since the deal went down.

We'll see what happens soon enough. Amyot is becoming a top D we need for next year. Some people say I'm psychic......others think it's psycho ;D.....didn't mean to start any shit....I was only havin' some fun !!

Lot's of Fullerton fans disappointed at the rink that he did not play. Thought was, it is his last game as a Dog. However this is the time to play Passingham when we have a little cushion at the top. Kid played decent for his first game action in months and remember his last action was at the Midget level.
Bad gut feeling but I think Thomas could be gone. He played on the 4th line for so long he never got to show his stuff and I think they dumped him. Now that he is getting ice and playing like he can I think me made a huge mistake. Just because he was a local did not mean he was bad. Sometimes I think that just because they are home grown kids they sometimes don't get the breaks that the other kids do. I think he has proved he could at least be a real good third line player in this league. Hope I am wrong because he reminds me of a Mark Messier type player.

Not that it really holds any water, but on the tv feed today they interviewed J.B., and he said he was happy with what he has and he expected to "stand pat" at the deadline. But he did say he would be interested in an 18 year old forward if one became available. I guess only time will tell.....speaking of time, what time does trading begin in the morning?

I read somewhere that the Q office opens up at 9:00 am, EST. But the trading period opens up after the last game is over ... either way, the trades won't be coming in until the Q office is open .

Looks like Nathan Dunnett's stint was short he's heading to Drummondville for their 9th RD pick
