GDT: Sea Dogs @ Remparts - November 14, 2007 The Saint John Sea Dogs (13-5-1-2) visit the Pepsi Coliseum tonight for a 7:00pmEST/8:00pmAST showdown with the Quebec Remparts (12-10-0-1). On October 6, Robert Mayer posted the second shutout in Sea Dogs history as Saint John bested the Remparts by a score of 3-0 at Harbour Station. Alex Grant, Scott Howes, and Alexandre Picard-Hooper all scored in last month’s contest – the first win over Quebec in Sea Dogs history. Saint John is coming off of a 4-3 home win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, a game in which their penalty killing unit thwarted 10 of the visitors’ 11 power play opportunities to propel their 07-08 PK% over the ninetieth percentile (90.4) to move into second place in the QMJHL in the ever-important category. Chris DiDomenico scored twice against Chicoutimi in Saint John’s last game, improving his goal total this season to 17, placing him third in the league behind only Claude Giroux and Matthew Pistilli (18 apiece) of the Gatineau Olympiques. The Remparts are three days removed from a 6-1 home victory over the Shawinigan Cataractes. Quebec has now won seven of their last ten games to claim sole possession of fourth place in the Telus Division. The Sea Dogs, meanwhile, remain ranked third in the East Division with 29 points. Wednesday night’s game will be broadcast live on News 88.9 FM ( www.news889.com/). Fans can also catch the action live by tuning into the official league webcast at qmjhl.mytelus.com/.

Remparts are flying but the Dogs will knock them down a peg on their home turf.

I don't think Patrick wants to win, his son Jonathan will be in net for tonight's game.

or he's arrogant enough to think that his son should be able to beat Saint John fairly easily.

It would be interesting if someone ran him. It's always fun to see Saint Patrick blow a fuse.

Make sure to listen closely to Rempart goal announcements on the PA tonight. I happened to catch one the other day....
Joey "Le Soldat" Ryan
Is it just my imagination or did the Q ban the Sea Dogs from including nicknames when announcing players over the PA system? But it's no problem if the Remparts do it! The Q really makes me laugh sometimes.

Hope the Dogs are ready to go when the puck drops at 8(7ET) the last thing we need is to get down early in front of 10-15K at Le Colisee....nice to see Patrick is giving the start to Waah jr. he's got a 5.12 and .841 and has only played 234 mins. so far this year. Much rather see him in there than Desfosses and his league leading numbers....and if the word from poquebec is true and they are without Esposito and Tessier tonight the Dogs should have a bit easier time than they did here at Harbour Station when they won 3-0....Give a couple points to Picard and a good night for Sparling in his 150th as a Dog, goals from Dido, Howes Despres....5-2 SeaDogs......if the word from poq. is bogus the game will be closer IMO with a 3-0 final again....for Saint John.............GO DOGS GO!!
