I think you mean points in 9 of 12 games, or 17 points in 9 games. 9 points in 12 games might have been something to get excited about the first 2 seasons. I thought the first 2 periods were boring but the 3rd was quite entertaining. Good to see Mayer pick up another shut out. Props to the Rimouski player for getting up from Thomas' huge but dirty hit. The guy Grant barely touched layed on the ice much longer. How was the Thomas hit dirty??? The player did not have the puck but if he did it would have been a clean legal hit. And IF the queen had balls she would be king. How many things have to be illegal about it in order to make it dirty? I thought 1 was sufficient.

Looking at the Q site and i see they screwed up things again, they have Mayer's record of 5-1 but only listed one shut out not two. On a positive note Liske leads the Q with a +12 and Dido is a close second with a +11 rating.

Sorry I consider a dirty hit being from behind or with an elbow or charging from one end of the ice to the other just my opinion. If the Queen had balls the would just be wrong.

Much more dirty hits in the game then that particular one

Fair enough. I should have said "illegal". I suppose the 2 aren't always necessarily the same thing. But my point was I shocked to see him get up as quick as he did. I thought he was gonna be down for a while.

It was interesting to see Amyot play well and log some PP shifts, and he earned the third star. He looked real confident to me. What's gotten into him the last two games? Maybe he turned a corner after that first hit of the year¿

Amyot is like a different player out there. Amazing what a little playing time can do for a young players confidence.
As for the Thomas hit you should go back an look at the archive on Telus. It appear he was lining up to hit the guy with the puck and then the guy he actually hit skated right in front of him. Basically they just ran into each other. Should have been a no call. And there was nothing dirty about it and it was perhaps the only exciting thing that happened all game.
As for Mayer whatever they are paying this guy he is worth it. He just makes it look so easy and he is as cool as can be. One of the best I ahve seen come through our rink since the team began.

On a positive note Liske leads the Q with a +12 and Dido is a close second with a +11 rating. That's beause the Q site gave him credit for the win, then pasted all Rimouski's goalie stats into Mayer's slot after that. 18 of 19 shots stopped. One goal allowed, etc etc. Eventually they will fix it...maybe.

Mayer is 2.33 and .902 now. At the moment, we have 2 goalies with .900+ Sv% and sub 3 GAAs

Ah. I figured you did 138 and 153. Not that it really matters. I only care about the win column. ;D

I think Fully has played very well with the 3-3 record. 1st loss in the season opener against Lewy, he played solid but our D was nowhere to be found in the 3rd period. 2nd loss against a very tough Halifax team and he was our best player. 3rd loss in the shootout against Gatineau. I have been very happy with Fully and Mayer.
