anyone know if that girl who got smoked in the head with the puck is ok or what yeah lota blood ...don't mean to be cold ..but PLEASE PEOPLE you can't sit and talk at a game without paying attention to that rubber disc thats traveling at 90+ mph...god bless her, it looked nasty! I asked the paramedics and they said she was ok. She went to the hospital in the ambulance. That was me who stood up waving for help. No one came to even check until I did. God she was squirting blood all over the place. The puck was coming right at my head, and I turned away and put my hands over my head & neck waiting for a big wham. I new I couldn't do anything else. My eyes don't see so good to even try and catch it. It took a few moments to figure out what happened. She was sitting right in front of me one seat over. I new enough to squeeze the bridge of her nose to restrict the bleeding, but she wasn't very happy with that She'll be sore for a long time.

You guys won 2 fights and Herr's wasn't even close. He's an emberassement, I'll be the first to admit it but you know, your fans still gotta bitch to me about him lol. Sill beat Leduc, wasn't even close. Leduc was dazed mid way through and got a nice finish punch to the head.

I keep wondering when the Sea Dogs will win a game and someone will give them the respect they deserve instead of saying how bad their team played or how sick they were instead of how good the Sea Dogs played which forced the other team have a rough game.

It's getting kind of old.
I think this group board format will eventually help as posters become more familiar with other teams. It's really helping me.

Sill was bleeding but i didnt see how I had to watch on the webcast last night (wife had to work) and personally from what I saw it was closer then some think the camera got up pretty close and there were alot of punches thrown and maybe Sill landed a couple more but alot of the haymakers that were thrown never actually landed. I'm not suggested Leduc won but it wasn't exactly a landslide victory by Sill either tell ya the truth I wasn't that impressed with the fight.

Did anyone else notice how Bezak kept turning his back on hits? He went head first into the boards twice because of it. A penalty was called on one. If he keeps doing that he'll end up in a whealchair and some poor kid tryin to make a tough play will take the blame.

I never noticed HIM in particular but it's a horrible mistake A LOT of junior players make. You see it a lot from 16-18 year olds and sometimes even 19's and 20's. Morehouse for one does it but he'll do anything to draw a penalty.

CHARACTER WIN QMJHL Saint John rallied from two-goal deficit to nip Moncton Saturday
Andrew Mcgilligan Telegraph-Journal Published Monday October 1st, 2007 Appeared on page B10
SAINT JOHN - If the 3,611 fans at Harbour Station didn't enjoy the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-2 win over the Moncton Wildcats in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Saturday, then Saint John head coach and general manager Jacques Beaulieu can't help them.
"That's a good hockey game, that's a hard fought hockey game," the Sea Dogs bench boss said. "That was 40 kids out there working their butts off."
The Sea Dogs (4-2-0-0) clawed their way back from an early two-goal deficit thanks to markers from Chris Di Domenico, Brett Gallant and Alexandre Picard. Matt Marquardt and Chris Morehouse of Rothesay replied for Moncton (4-1-1-1).
The provincial rivalry got off to a heated start when Gallant and Keland Herr dropped the gloves 2:37 into the first period. Gallant won the scrap easily to spark the hometown crowd and team.
After the scrap the Dogs' big three - Ryan Sparling, Payton Liske and Di Dimenico - went to work. The trio produced a couple good scoring chances, but couldn't get one by Wildcats starter Charles Lavigne.
Moncton struck first when Marquhardt banged in a rebound past Sea Dogs goalie Travis Fullerton at 6:18. Fredericton native Matt Eagles drew an assist.
Keven Charland almost tied the game a few minutes later when the forward broke on on a partial break, but was denied by the left pad of Lavigne.
With 27 seconds left in the first, Moncton went up 2-0 as a shot by Phil Mangan deflected off a Sea Dogs defender onto the stick of Morehouse and the Rothesay product made no mistake firing one into the open net.
The last two seconds of the period produced a pair of fights. Alexandre Leduc dropped the mitts with Zach Sill and then Mike Thomas got into the third fight of the period. The Sea Dogs forward won the decision over Matt Boyle and got the crowd to its feet. Boyle received a 10-minute misconduct for not tying down his jersey.
Although the Dogs were down, Beaulieu said he told his players a 2-0 lead is the worst one to have in hockey during the intermission.
"Not many teams can maintain it and we thought we could expose their defence a little by getting behind them," he said.
The second started with Saint John taking back-to-back penalties to Simon Despres and Sparling. The Sea Dogs killed off the two-man advantage and picked up a power-play of their own when Moncton's Alexi Pianosi drew a holding penalty.
Saint John couldn't capitalize on their first man-advantage opportunity. However, later, with Marquhardt in the box for delay of game, the Sea Dogs struck as just past the halfway point of the period, a shot by Di Domenico deflected up and over Lavigne before dropping into the net. It extended the Woodbridge, Ont. native's scoring streak to six games.
Saint John squared the game 2-2 at the 12:11 mark when Gallant picked the puck out a scramble in front of the Moncton goal. The Saint John tough guy circled the net and jammed the puck past Lavigne. The play was reviewed, but ultimately counted.
"It was good to get the first one off the back," Gallant said, who was an assist away from a Gordie Howe hat trick. "I didn't get one my first year and it took a long time last season."
The Sea Dogs had a golden opportunity to take the lead late in the second when Moncton took three consecutive penalties. Despite the extended two man-advantage, Saint John could not find a way to get one by Lavigne and the period ended 2-2.
The third started with Saint John dominating play. In fact Moncton didn't register a shot until just past the 10-minute mark.
The Sea Dogs connected for the winner at 14:52 on the power play with Eagles in the box for interference. Picard stepped out from the half boards, into the slot and ripped one past a screened Lavigne.
Moncton made a late push to tie the game, but Fullerton stood tall in the closing minutes to preserve the win.
The Sea Dogs backstop said the team showed a lot of character in the comeback.
"We've got the best group of guys in this dressing room," he said. "We're going to show that all year."
