So Morrison seems to be rattled. The dance portion might not be long.
Add Sparling's goal ...

A 4th blueline blunder by Grant gives Paynter a good chance. Ya gotta drivve that home JB! Another dominating period. Looks like SNB's A team showed up and PEI's C team. I hardly heard Walker's name at all. Didn't hear Doyle once. Heard goalie names too much. Hoefully the break doesn't change anything.

One more point and Dido is the scoring leader. Sparling and Liske are now top 10. But this team is not capable of blowouts; we'll have to settle for this.

Good game by the Dogs.
What a line Dido-Sparling-Liske are combined for 10 points. Dido takes over the scoring lead in the Q. Sparling with a 4 point night recording his 100th point of his career and Liske showed some soft hands.
Pei's big names were invisible except for Latal. He was exciting to watch.
Pretty sure Gelinas was pulled on 3 goals but I could be wrong. As with the game in PEI, I wouldn't fault the goalies, D left them out to dry. Pei seemed to lack any emotion out there and didn't even seem like they wanted to be there.

SEA DOGS BLAST ROCKET 6-2
SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs moved above the .500 mark for the first time this season on Thursday night, improving their record to 3-2 after defeating the PEI Rocket by a score of 6-2 at Harbour Station.
Several Sea Dogs contributed offensively on Thursday, as no fewer than 11 players registered points in the team’s second consecutive lopsided home win.
Chris DiDomenico finished the night with 2G-1A-3P, tying him for first place in the QMJHL scoring race with Rouyn-Noranda’s Jeff Desjardins. Meanwhile, Ryan Sparling tallied 1G-3A-4P on the evening - a sum that now gives him 100 points for his career, making him the first Sea Dog to ever reach triple digits in scoring.
“It’s definitely a pretty cool milestone to reach,” said Sparling following the match. “We were really clicking as a team out there tonight and hopefully we can keep that going into our next game against Moncton.”
After successfully killing off an early penalty, the Sea Dogs went up 1-0 on Thursday night when newly-acquired centre Alexandre Picard-Hooper scored his first goal of the year at the 4:20 mark of the first period, tucking a rebound past starting PEI net minder Marc-Antoine Gelinas.
The score was then made 2-0 by Team Captain Alex Grant, who beat Gelinas with a hard shot 11:39 into the game, also earning his first goal of the season in the process.
With Rocket forward Brett Morrison in the penalty box, Saint John went up by three with 5:07 remaining in the opening frame, as Sparling scored his third goal of the year with Payton Liske earning his team-high sixth assist as the Sea Dogs’ assault continued unabated.
Starting Saint John goaltender Robert Mayer turned aside all six shots sent his way in the opening twenty, giving his team a solid three-goal advantage as the first intermission got underway.
The Rocket finally beat Mayer 4:11 into the second period, as Chad Locke scored to pull the visiting squad from PEI to within two of the home team’s lead.
Saint John responded quickly however, as Chris DiDomenico scored 2:17 later to give the Sea Dogs a 4-1 advantage midway through the middle frame. A second goal by DiDomenico with 4:32 remaining in the second then gave the Sea Dogs a 5-1 lead, and the rout was officially on.
A pair of big saves by Mayer with one minute remaining in the second preserved Saint John’s four-goal lead, as the 17-year old net minder stoned Martin Latal and Jan Kana in rapid succession to inflate his save total to 14 as the second intermission began.
The Rocket got to Mayer once more midway through the third period, as Martin Latal scored on a rebound to double PEI’s goal total.
Saint John then scored their sixth goal of the night with 7:34 remaining in regulation; a trio of native Nova Scotians hooked up on the scoring play, as Michael Kirkpatrick knotted his first career goal with Matthew Stoddard and Jeff McNeil drawing assists.
Kirkpatrick’s goal proved to be the final tally of the night for either team, and the game came to an end with the Sea Dogs having earned a big 6-2 victory. Saint John has now scored 12 goals combined in their past two home games and have reached the same total in their two matches versus the Rocket.
Up next for the Sea Dogs are the Moncton Wildcats, who will skate into Harbour Station on Saturday night for a 7:00pm showdown with their provincial rivals.
This is the first time this season Moncton and Saint John have met after having split their two-game pre-season series.
