I think JB was out-coached tonight. Nothing new there then! He's been constantly outcoached - and will continue to be so. He's an awful record, but besides which, the decisions he's made as a coach haven't been great. No, he's done the same to other teams. He used the trap effectively against Lewy last year a couple of times. It's more likely the team has not worked on breaking the trap. There are certain things you can and cannot do, and they kept doing the wrong standard breakout passes. Ty also pressed when they were tied and down by one. Call it an early season slap in the head; they were blind-sided after taking it to them in preseason. It won't be so easy next time. The kids hopefully learned lots this game and will take their systems work a bit more seriously. I have no doubts about JB's knowledge or coaching abilities. Even the best get beat. Frankly I'd rather start the season with a kick in the ass than an easy win.

No need to push the panic button just yet....out-coached, overworked...don't think so.. more of a situation where the Dogs got into penalty trouble and couldn't get the momentum to swing back in their favor...even though Brett did his part, and gave a nice performance for his first win of the season. If anything was a major factor in the loss as far as the coaching goes, it was the team taking twice as many penaltys as the MAINEiacs and not having the discipline to stay out of the box...but the PK only gave up one goal on 8 chances so the coaching will not be the reason for our demise...just a bunch of overly excited kids playing on the road ..in the first game of the season...no need to fire the coach yet!!

I thought we played a pretty good road game until late in the 3rd period when all hell broke loose. In all fairness to fullerton our D kind of let him down and 8 penalties to their 4 did not help us either. And by the way not to many teams are going to beat lew. goalie on this night the way he played. Good job kid we will get you next time at harbour station.

Only thing that was certain about this game...it was the first of the season. Who gives a rats ass after one game? If its ten games or twenty games in, that's a different story.
If this game was in the middle of the season, everyone would just say that it was a "bad" game for the Dogs.

Are there 2 options for broadcasting? English (SJ) and English (Lewiston)? We are just hearing Tim on both Saint John's broadcast & Lewy's broadcast. He was talking between commercials to the fella in Saint John, and someone was saying they had to have a piss. Happened twice actually...kinda funny. Oh no Dogcatcher said piss on the boards someone please ban him ;D

Dogs played a very good game. I think it will be a very tough team to play against when you get your timing down. Don't forget, Lewy had arguably the strongest Defensive lines last year, and many of those vets returned in this game. Lewy had home ice advantage, so except in one or two notable oh-sh*t momements, they teamed the best D to your top forwards. When the rookie Dmen were out there, you had some really close shots, and Delmas did stand on his head for those. Breakaways on Lewy's part really did you in--your coaching has to work on keeping the D a little more conservative and they will not happen as frequently. The timing part--Lewy D was able to read your team play and just be there with a stick many times your pass came. That really stiffled a lot of potential scoring moments. If the passes were a little crisper or a made a little more desceptively, then who knows?

I find it very funnt its called same old same old!!! you cant judge a seaso on 1 game FFS My point was no matter what we do to improve goaltending we keep getting beat by hot goalies has nothing to do with JB or our team. I love the new Sea Dogs and look for great things from this team and include a playoff bether this year. We do have a tough sched to start the year and PEI losing last night at home isnt going to help. The bottom line is WE ARE BETTER and WE WILL make the playoffs. Sit back watch relax and watch this team grow. As for all the nay sayers shut the F**K up and go back to watching "so you are smarter than a 5th grader" and learn that you are not!!!

really its not a big deal to me if we win or lose its all about how you play the game and if we look back to the 1st year at the team we had... No way will it ever be that Bad again Seadogs have come a long way since then and Lets face it each year we do get better... so do other teams. There is always going to be games that we lose for various reason (mostly Dumb penalties & hot goalies) BUT its nothing to cry about Suck it up and move on to the next game.

SeaDog fans listen up, Peters from Halifax will soon be available he is 20, just in the last 2 games he has had 11 breakaways scoring four times and also had two assists. This guy is a must for you talk it up. He fast, can score and has leadership qualities, he is the package.
