Pisano has to be smarter the guys had the mojo goin after coming back from 2 goals down then he takes a 5 minute major you simply can't take bad penalties like that. I know he felt he was sticking up for a team mate but he obviously crossed the line and it ended up costing a goal and all the momentum the team had built up. No doubt he felt he was doing the right thing but you can't attack a guy if he doesn't wanna fight ya. This is where they could use a guy like Gallant he knows a thing or 2 about fighting and what to do in different types of enforcer situations. Sounds like Pisano could use a tutor Give me a fricken break, this was the perfect time for Pisano to step up and send a message to his team that he will be there to stick up for them. Sea Dog fans seem to forget this was a MEANINGLESS exhibition game and are over reacting. You can tell Pisano lacks experience and will learn from this but to call down the play ridiculous, if anything it makes for an interesting game tomorrow. Your entitled to your opinion Killer no problem I just don't agree with it to me you get his number you don't wanna get a 5 minute major right after your team came back to tie the game that is a bad move. Yeah it's exhibition but this is when you break bad habits too and I'm sure the Dogs players already know he's more then willing to stick his neck out anytime for them that's not even a question. It's not so much maybe ridiculous but the timing was bad I don't think for a second it was perfect timing.

Once again putting too much stock into preseason games.............Pisano sent a message to his team weather it cost them the game does not matter at this point I am sure JB will make sure he does not do this in a regular season game unless warranted

And it could make games against A-B more entertaining this year...win-win.

Every player on that bench already knows he's not afraid to drop the gloves when called upon.

With his size he shouldn't be afraid to drop the gloves.......I'd like to see him against another enforcer though, instead of a skinny dman who never fights.......

I agree I would like to see how Pisano matches up with an experienced fighter..............just by the way he squares off you can tell this is all rather new to him but has started off alright and experience will only make him better.

It's the playoffs where you want a disciplined team confident in their abilities. Mistakes and bad judgements are acceptable - once.

What do you mean Give me a break???The perfect time to take a STUPID penalty is 43 seconds after your team has tied the game...with all due respect Bubbs...who's talking here you or your evil twin..Conky..please give ME a frickin break....you don't squash your teams momentum by putting your own emotions before the needs of the team. Thats what Pisano did he saw the hit and didn't think ...he reacted, and that reaction cost the team a CHANCE to win the game. I would bet he doesn't make the same mistake in a meaningful game, now...thats because he might not get a second chance if it happens again. I'm sure the Coaches had a few words with Mr. Pisano following the game...kids will make mistakes all year, but these kind of mistakes are inexcuseable...good thing it happened in an ex.-game... or He may have found himself sitting in the stands with the rest of Us, or on a bus to somewhere else. Nobody (on the team or in the stands)has any doubt about Pisanos heart, he will stand up for himself and anyone else in the SeaDogs uniform...I for one now have questions about whats going on in his brain...hopefully he learned a lesson he will not forget...there is a time and a place for everything....IMO this was not the right time!!

If he's trying to become an enforcer for the first time, this situation would be new to him. Of course they talked to him. I'm sure players did too. I'm not worrying about it unless it continues.

Couldn't agree more..I remember playing hockey at 16-17 ,had more than a few brain cramps myself...Testosterone is a powerful force, and will make you do things you shouldn't...but to argue this is the perfect time to take things into his own hands is not accurate or realistic in my opinion.

If he puts a stop to it in the preseason where the penalty has virtually no effect (they lose a meaningless game and he has to miss another meaningless game), then it is a good thing. The problem is whether or not the fight intimidates (which is good for us) or whether it makes him a target like Stich was when teams realized that they could cause stupid penalties.

Let's just hope Thomas is ready to drop the gloves today if he gets the chance, I'm sure he will be ready....thats if he gets that chance before "Leduc le hammer" takes things into his own hands first..lol.....still on pace for that 225 mins...lol Thomas will have to be ready every game this year...more than one team will have his number.. by the way he's been hunting out there, he may have the most fights on the team this year...if JB puts a "leash" on Gallant that is.
