Anyone wonder who tonight's announcer was? His name is John Trivett. Someone should teach him a bit of french. Hooking in english is not ooking in french. Fifty five in English isn't fifty five in french. Now I realize that the guy is new, and might be have been nervous...but for someone who is new to going to Sea Dogs games, or has been there for the first time...this doesn't look very good.
Apparently Andrew Cromwell, has decided to leave announcing with the Sea Dogs, due to family committments.

announcer was horrible. Hope he gets more into it like Cromwell did. This guy is just blah.

He started to get louder towards the end but still sounded horrible let's hope he takes a 2 week crash course in french. That will drive me insane if they don't either get him to announce better or replace him.
Did they at least look for someone that could speak some french?

Ok I didn't think hooking was pronounced ..ooking? in francais But it's been a long time since I've been in french class Not even close to acceptable!!!  |

At least it wasn't cynderman or would we all prefer he do it instead of the new guy who's just learning..??
Sound system sounded better then the old one not as much Buzz sound could actually hear the words to the songs and the warm up intro the THX SOUND EFFECT thing sounded good on it.. could actually make out what the announcer was saying over conversations with friends... I thought it sounded better anyways would have been better to invest the money in the scoreboard I think... Hook that up with video.

If that guy is just learning I sure hope he spends some time practicing over the next 3 weeks I'm sorry but I honestly think they should have been able to find someone better then that. It's the Q he's gotta know french at least somewhat. |

I agree I thought the choice of tunes was terrible for the most part there was alot of changes this off season not sure I'm in favour of some of them so far |

Not sure if Peter is french. I really don't understand though, why we have to do things in french. Halifax doesn't, PEI doesn't, Cape Breton doesn't, and Lewiston definately doesn't.
Our intermissions aren't in french, and our website isn't in french, and literature that is sent out is all in english. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-french whatsoever...however if they can only find a quality announcer that only speaks english, then I'm fine with just doing it in english.
