So if Gallant and Pisano are not dressed, out best fighter will be Grant if he is dressed. Do we want him fighting Herr or this Remy dude? This is disappointing to not have Gallant, who could surely use a couple of games before his rookie camp with Ottawa. I would have also liked to see Knox, but I guess only 3 20's can dress. Hopefully we will see the local kids Langan and Cormier. If they are not in the lineup, JB needs to give his head a shake. Fans deserve to see a couple of quality locals for once.

Not to say Thomas can't handle himself but if Moncton puts their true enforcer in the lineup then we should always have ours whether for tonight it be Gallant or Pisano but Thomas going it alone would be a bad idea. Not to worry, what you seen in Moncton is it, we have no true enforcer as per say, we actually have a very soft team in that department. You came in here and kicked our butts in the physical department so dont expect anyone to try anything down there. It will probably be rough entertaining game but dont expect a lot of scraps.

I understand the point, yea it might bring some more folks out but me persoanlly I say put the best players in the line up regardless where they are from. If fans will come to see a local born player play over a player with more skill and has a better chance helping the team win...just doesn't seem right to me...

I agree with what your saying he may play them tonight because they are still in training camp at least Langan anyway if they are in camp they must be playing at least one ex game and I assume because this is the only home game before JB wants to have the team picked that this might be the best time to play at least one of them. Regular season all bets are off though I don't care where he finds his players a certain other team that won a certain cup here didn't have any locals and not one person cared about it. It's all about winning after the preseason wraps up.

I understand the point, yea it might bring some more folks out but me personally I say put the best players in the line up regardless where they are from. It's all about winning after the preseason wraps up. Yup...I agree....preseaon I understand JB and company need to see and evaluate each player in certain situations. Throw them into and game and see how they respond. My beef is folks who complain or come down on the team because there are no locals on the team...this gets to me the same as the folks that continue to mention and bring up the certain other team you eluded to.

I can't understand how Langan could even play in a pre-season game. The kid was in Moncton Thursday night, and there is nothing to him! Put him out there against someone who is even 6'2" and he'll get creamed!

I love Langan total heart and a good kid, everything you look for. But is he ready? Not my call, but we all know hes a bit away. The bottom line is YOU TAKE THE BEST TEAM YOU CAN ICE!!!!!! This "I want locals" makes you sound as smart as some that are always banned for lame posts. hint hint G-cough hint hint And on that note you expose these kids to the best coaches available not coaches that make 13 players walk!!!! hint hint leland hint hint!!!!!

Resendes has a little bit more muscle than Langan. Langan has well, none.

I am sure both local boys will end up playing tonight. Right now is when you can play them. If they aren't good enough to make the team though in the end, you cut them. I agree.
As for Gallant I think he is important for this game. Fans want to see him as much or more than the local guys I'd say. Plus when two teams play each other back to back, things sometimes get ugly. After a physical game in Moncton I would not be surprised to see the Wildcats come out trying to set the tone in that regard. We could see anything from hard clean hits to cheap shots to fights (common things for any team in back to back games). Let's say someone smokes a Resendes or Langan or whoever. Maybe if you pump out Gallant right away and have him get in the guy's face, give him a nice check or facewash or smack with the stick, it makes some people think twice about smoking someone again. He can have a presence and affect on the game without even dropping the gloves.
For this game I think Gallant should be in there, fighting or no.

I'm hearing Langan wasn't on the list and practiced with the non-starters. We'll see.

Lamoureux and Herr are botyh legit Q enforcers. Lamoureux is a big strong kid, still getting his feet wet. Herr bloodied manson's face real good last year, he can go pretty good.
