If Resendes is working his butt off to take a 20 spot, you can bet he's on the radar of Charland and Knox. If they need a reason to feel pushed into performing, the article in the TJ about Resendes (oh, and his play) has to at least have the two of them hearing footsteps. The first time I saw Resendes, he looked like a bullet flyinjg up the ice, and about as fast as Pisano coming back. The next day, he was flying everywhere.
I had this conversation in the Timmy's parking lot last night too. I dunno if any of the 3 are a lock, if any other solid offensive options become available as camps wind down. I think Fullerton is gonna stay, or be replaced by a younger established backup. I have no idea what goalies might be available, but it's a thought, given that we have a d-man or tweo we can move, for the right return.
I like the suggestions of the two Halifax players, and there have to be at least half a dozen forward options from other teams, given the right circumstances.
How about this for a beer bet? I say that by Oct 1, at least two of Fullerton, Resendes, Knox, and Charland will be gone.
