THIRTY-THREE PLAYERS REMAIN AT SEA DOGS TRAINING CAMP

SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Head Coach/General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that thirteen players have been cut from the team’s training camp roster. There are now thirty-three players remaining in camp.

The following players have been released from the Sea Dogs Training Camp Roster effective immediately:

Chris Christiani
Evan Dickie
Nathan Dunnett
Justin Finlay
Zachary Jones
Luc Leblanc
Brandon McDonald
Clifford Mugford
Matthew Page
Darren Shecapio
Andrew Spinney
Trevor Steen
Michael Veysey

The Sea Dogs open their pre-season schedule on the road against the Moncton Wildcats tomorrow evening. Players not making the trip will be taking part in a light workout at Harbour Station beginning at 2:00pm. The team bus departs for Moncton at 4:00pm.

All Sea Dogs practices are open to the public.

Tickets are on sale now for the three Sea Dogs pre-season games to be held at Harbour Station. Single tickets are priced at $5 each while Sea Dogs season ticket holders can purchase tickets to all three games for only $10. The first pre-season home game is scheduled for August 25 and will see the Sea Dogs taking on provincial rivals the Moncton Wildcats, followed by contests versus the Lewiston MAINEiacs on September 5 and against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on September 9.

Information on regular and flex pack season tickets is available by calling the Sea Dogs office at 657-DOGS (3647) or by visiting www.saintjohnseadogs.com.

The Sea Dogs open their regular season on September 13 when they visit the Presidents Cup Champion Lewiston MAINEiacs. Saint John’s home opener is scheduled for Friday, September 21 at 7:30 P.M. versus the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

As expected no real surprises on this list although I expect Brandon MacDonald to press hard next year just needs to beef up a bit and he should challenge for a spot next year.

Bullshit! I don't see Daryl Dillman's name on that list!?!?!? No way in hell he made the cut, or does it count if he got cut before this cut?

I think the team brought in Darren Shecapio to see if he had a mean side to him but didn;t show it at all............wasn't even physical for a big guy so he was quickly cut. Like everyone else said these were guys who do not belong, could have cut a few more IMO

Yeah only thing really interesting here is how we still have 5 goalies in camp. I'd have thought we'd be down to four.

im surprised that Dillman survived as well,its pretty bad that he and passingham has lasted longer then justin finlay and Brandon mcdonald ;D

Woah woah hold on here...Dillman is already cut isn't he? Wasn't he cut after the morning game on Tuesday? That is why I was assuming he wasn't on the list of 13 cut today.

It's seriously fucked up if Dillman is still on this team. Seriously.

I don't know about you Leask but I've been there and haven't seen him anywhere at least not during the scrimmages but then again I didn't get to see todays game this morning maybe somebody who watched it could fill us in on whether or not he played. Couldn't tell during the practice either nothing to really go by except for a few guys who are obvious.

Their was no scrimmage game this morning ,only another practice ,probably jbs idea ,kinda dissapointing to the fans that shoed up including me,oh well what kin you do.
