My vote personally is Mathew Dopud just don't see them using a 20 spot for a backup.

My gut feeling is Fullerton until Christmas with Dopud following Christmas. I am back and forth tho...with the solid defence it appears we have does JB roll the dice and go with Mayer and Dopud? By all accounts it appears Mayer is the real deal and I have full confidence he will be our guy in the end but what if he takes some time to adjust? Is Dopud our guy or do we keep Fullerton as insurance?

Thanks Dog although I think your cheating ;D j/k Before camp I would have agreed it's nice to have a safety net in Fullerton but the defense looks very good from what I've seen and Dopud has looked pretty decent from what I saw so far would have likee to have seen him play tonight maybe some of the guys that went to Moncton would know more. Every scouting agency I've heard from to this point has had alot of great things to say about Mayer who am I to agrue

IMO having a 20y old for a backup would be a good idea for a young guy who will need some time and help his first year. But from what i heard about Mayer is that he is very sound in net. I think Dopud as a backup would be better and Mayer may help him out and improve his game. Either way i'm excited about the team this year and can't wait for home opener.

I can't see keeping Fullerton as a backup either, not if we can keep both Resendes and Knox. Dopud scares me. St. Laurent looks better and steadier to me right now, so my guess is him.

I think we have to pick between knox and resendes because neither of them played in the Q before this year so, by the sounds of the rule its one or the other.

why not keep 3 goalies with Fullerton being one of them. On games he is not starting put the other guy as backup and dress 3 position player 20's. On games he is starting then you can rest another 20. You don't need to cut down to 3 until sometime in January, just can't dress more than three.

Lewy is apparently having troubles with Castonguay (20), Piché, and others. We could swipe 20's +

Not sure who the Dogs plan on carrying for 20's but, from what I saw at the game in Moncton, this little Resendes player looked pretty good reminds me of Ian Girard on the Cats a couple years ago, as for Knox Did not impress very much, so maybe he could be the odd man out?

Yeh, drop knox if he doesnt do well in the rest of preseason games and if Mayer does well and Dopud we get them as goalies and drop Fullerton and maybe pick up another 2 20's.

Travis Fullerton should be and will be the backup...he is too solid to let go at this time. Resendes goal or no goal did not impress me tonight...

Fullerton absolutely is going to make this decision awfully hard he played a "A" game tonight.
I think Resendes may very well be cut not just about on ice issues but maybe other issues besides that.
If the rule is as it appears then I say they will end up going with Knox over Resendes.
