There is now a small reason for me to not hate you guys. I actually have interest in your team now do to one player. As I'm sure you all know your d-man Alex Grant was drafted by the one and only Pittsburgh Penguins. I won't ever cheer for you guys but this will lead me to watching a few of your games online if it is not on a Penguins or Wildcats game night. So good luck this year and I hope you guys can make the playoffs so Alex can get even more experience.

We will never go for you guys eaither. And we will be taking the playoff spot over you so thank you for that! haha anyway Grant should have a great season in fights, goals, and what ever else he is good at. Blocking shots too. Pens dont need him as they are stacked enough:P

The Pens can use a project like Grant though he could be a solid offensive weapon for the Pens

I don't see him playing for us anytime soon with the young dmen we have like Whitney,Letang,Goligoski and Sneep just to name a few. My guess is he'll play a few seasons in the AHL before making the step up to the NHL.

If Grant's play in the second half of last year is an indication of what to expect this year and beyond, I'd say the Pens may have got a good one with their 4th rounder. Time will tell, but I for one expect big things from Grant this season.

Like I said Grant will be a project but with the right coaching he could turn into a good offensive defenseman likely a 3rd or 4th Dman on the depth chart.
Not many young defensemen mark the jump to the NHL very quick it's a very difficult position to learn.

Grant making the NHL is likely a good 5-7 years away.
And the congrats Sea Dogs thread title made me think something good happened. Oh gee Penguins23 doesn't completely hate us anymore. Does that come with the blessing of your little fairy buddy with his "I love Morehouse" shirt also? ;D

Really? Wow. At one Sea Dogs game there was a guy with a Penguins hat (which I assumed was Penguins23) and a guy with him in the Morehouse shirt with pink writing and crap.

Chances are I had a Penguins hat on too. My hats go by season. I'm wearing my Pirates hat now, soon it will be Steelers and then after that it will be Penguins.
