I thought it would be fun if we all could put our predictions in here as to who will be the lucky 24 to make the cut for the SJ Sea Dogs.
1. Travis Fullerton 2. Robert Mayer
3. Yann Sauvé 4. David Stich 5. Alex Grant 6. Simon Dépres 7. Pascal Amyot 8. Sébastien Rioux 9. Jeff McNeill 10. Jordan Knox 11. Francis Guerrette-Charland 12. Keven Guerrette-Charland 13. Ryan Sparling 14. Matthew Stoddard 15. Mike Thomas 16. Chris Didomenico 17. Steve Anthony 18. Alexandre Leduc 19. Payton Liske 20. Brett Gallant 21. François Gauthier 22. Mike Kirkpatrick 23. Luc LeBlanc 24. Andrew Langan
This could change, we all know that JB went out and got a few players from Quebec and Ontario last year, he very well could do the same this year. He's unpredictable!

I see no point in posting the same 22 players everyone else has. It seems to be down to two open spots pretty much, barring trade. Thus for those two spots I'll pick Philip Richer and Chris Christiani.

Agreed. Nice to see it should be a lot of competition for a couple of spots. Very unlike the past two seasons. I'd have to guess and give an edge to Nicholas Pard for one spot, and an enforcer type (D or F) for the other spot. Otherwise unless there is a big surprise at camp I think the others ar epretty well squared away. Only ones of the '22' that may be switched out in my mind would be Kirkpatrick or maybe Liske.

I'd like the two spots to be say Christiani and Pard (assuming Christiani is any good) given they are older than say Richer and Langan, because these last two spots are likely to have limited ice time and I feel the two youngsters should be somewhere where they can play and develop more. Reason I chose Richer over Pard though is for some reason I got the feeling last year that JB wasn't overly impressed with Pard. *shrug*
From what I've heard of Kirkpatrick I'd say he's a pretty safe bet to make the team. The fact that JB traded up to get him also is a good sign in that regard.
Liske's goal production in his limited time with us makes me think he is a lock to make the team so long as his health is no longer an issue. Averaging a goal every second game on a team that was crying for offense, even with only 15 games to go by, is too good to pass up.

The only question I would have with Liske is him being prone to concussion. Another concussion and he could be out for quite a while. He was already out for, what, the last two months of the season, I think?

It really a tough call to predict a lineup before seeing the kids play in training camp I think i am going to hold off predicting one until I see the guys play

I don't think we saw him come to Harbour Station, did we? Based on his taste of the Q, I give him the inside track. And yes, if it came down to one of say Pard or Richer, both about the same to offer, I think the nod goes to Pard and Richer goes back to a full slate of games down a level. I think Kirkpatrick and Liske will make the team, I just think if there are any of those 22 spots that would be tjhe least likely to be sewn up it might be those two guys. I liked what I saw of Liske last season (though it was brief) and hopes he can put it together for a full season, if not for the Dogs at least for himself.

About Pard...I forget what exactly but some things in either training camp or the exhibition games...maybe both, struck me as funny. Somehow I got the impression JB wasn't too high on the kid.
Also if my memory is correct, Pard was called up for that Quebec road trip but in the final game of that trip we only had 9 forwards dressed/played in the game, and Pard wasn't one of them. You'd think he'd get a decent amount of ice time when we are on the road and all banged up and short staffed, but he doesn't even play? In fact looking at the Q site it appears he only played in 2 of the 4 games, missing the final two, which were part of back to back to back road games on consecutive days.
