Steve you just do not want to have to meet CB in the playoffs then all your money goes to waste. Anytime the Dogs get a win against Moncton or CB it would be huge even though it should never happen. Both your teams are loaded and the money spent should guarantee your destiny. You have spent more money than Moncton this year ... Hoffman and Peterson are each getting $1000 a week ... Galiev was not cheap and neither was Jurco ... and Cousineau is also very well paid, or at least he was in PEI ... I assume that transferred with him. Plus you spent a pile of money in education packages this year to get guys like Durepos to report. But so what ... our teams can afford to pay those prices. I just find it funny that you would suggest my team is spending money when you guys were actually the biggest spenders this year. I call it investing in the team ... don't you ? You guys would be a mid-pack team if you didn't spend money this year. But hell yes ... we'd rather play PEI than CB .... wouldn't you ? More importantly than lining up with PEI in round 1 is also having home ice advantage throughout the playoffs ... and always getting the lowest ranked team remaining. First overall makes it easier to win a championship. You guys are first overall ... why should it never happen that you would beat Moncton or CB ? You guys didn't sell ... you improved over the trading period ... why do you think your team is now inferior ? We all made trades to try to catch up to SJ ... the Top team in the Q ... ranked #2 in Canada.

For those who care Holden is now in Miramichi. He was treated very unfairly but I'm glad to see him land on his feet .

Holden should never of made the team out of camp if there were no plans to keep him for the year. We're almost tempting fate by going with nothing but kids for depth positions.

I find it baffling that on one hand they trade so many assets for Lagace and on the other they go with a 16 year old back up who has not even been with the team 1st half.

For those who care Holden is now in Miramichi. What a joke - arguably the best backup in the Q has to play out the season in Jr A because of a bizarre decision by management, and because they waited far too long to try and trade him. I hope they never try to say nobody was interested in the likes of Holden. There was a market for Wendell freaking Vye, so they could have traded Holden if enough planning ahead was done. This is the worst example of unfair treatment of a veteran player and true Eagle that I've seen in years. To me it speaks volumes about how loyalty is out the window right now. It's just too bad Chris had to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But only if the interested team didn't fill the spot during the trading period. I would guess that if PEI knew CB was going to waive Holden, they probably wouldn't have traded a pick for Vye.

I doubt the eagles would do that, it hurts them in the end too not being able to get at least a draft pick for him. Im thinking something happened that the public isnt aware of.

I think they just used Holden knowing Roy would be away trying out for WJ and now they plan on riding Roy the rest of the way. So they must figure if Roy goes down they are screwed anyways so call the kid up to get him ready for next year. Doesn't anyone find it strange in a year we loaded up that we call up 4 kids Voronneau, Riguse, Woodworth, and Parker as depth players? Usually you add vetern depth and send kids down this time of year don't you???
