Boutillier wasnt picked last year...hes a 2nd year Midget
Burke had a poor tourny...he has actually been poor the last 2 months, but hes too talented to drop too far...I dont think he was the top player on most people's lists anyway.

Tomorrow i think NB is the team to beat. Best team game, shity goalie. Halifax could've been there instead(hit the post 3time and once the puck sat on the line). Newfoundland has the best one line by far. If NB shuts down that one line its there to win. St. John's up 3-0 in the gold medal game and no points for O'Brien's line. Maybe they're more than a one-line team. He went into the game with a banged up shoulder. Didn't take the warm up. Still finished the game with a goal and 2 assists. On another note, Trey Lewis was nailed in the 1st period on a dangerous hit. He needed oxygen, but managed to still finish the game.

Lewis plays too wreckless...he isnt going to be able to stay healthy. You gotta love the kids intensity, but he needs to tone it down a couple notches or he will wear himself out.

Thanks Hes a late 94, almost a 95 actually...was the captain of PEI U16 at the Atlantic Challenge Cup in October...like you said, tons of speed and energy and despite being small (listed at 5'09 157, but he looks about 5'08 135) it always seems like he is in the middle of the action in the danger area's. He hands are decent as well, ended up with 31 pts in 35 games this season for Charlottetown... Hard to say where he will land on draft day, likely not drafted because of the size factor.

Sounds like one of those guys that gets drafted in the 2nd-3rd round at 17 after having a great season and a growth spurt and people wonder why he wasn't drafted the year before. What's the talk on Halifax's Brown? Similar story with size possibly holding him back?

What's the talk on Halifax's Brown? Similar story with size possibly holding him back? He is Jamie Brown's nephew or cousin...im not quite sure which... Great skills, but he is 'listed' at 5'10 by the league, but by CSR he is 5'07 and they actually weigh/measure the players, not just guess-ta-mate it lol Ill give the kid credit, for his size, he isnt afraid to play. He is very good on the PP, he distributes the puck well, and has a smart shot, not a howitzer, but he uses it well, unlike some dmen who prefer to just T it up and hope it hits the net. I never want to say 'player x is very talented but wont get drafted because of his size' and that isnt the case with Brown....its his size/skating combo. When you are a 5'07 dman you have to compensate by being either extremely smart or extremely quick, and he is neither, in my opinion. If Dylan King cant make the Q, than it will be tough for Brown, but he is one of the kids that fans are cheering for, I hope he proves me wrong.

He is Jamie Browns nephew, i recall it being said on the fast hockey atlantic comintation of saturdays game. I've only seen King play a few times, and Brown about 3-5 times, two tottaly different players. I have no doubt Brown could play in the Q.. after another year of midget to get physically stronger and faster. The kid does make strong passes and plays, it'll be interesting to watch how this plays out.
Can anyone tell me the word on Lewis and his situation reguarding the Q???

They arent that different...both are 5'07...both are offensive dmen...except King was a much better skater and had a better shot and more vision...he had something like 50 pts as an underager where as Brown had 30...and King was playing with guys who were far inferior than Brown...and King was making them look good on the PP Not knocking Brown...just stating my opinion...there seems to be a lot of support for the kid but I dont think he will play major junior, we will see over the next 3-4 years. Lewis was drafted by Halifax 67th overall in 2009.

Does anyone have or know a list of lest say the top 30 players for the midget draft? Or a link to look at the list ourselves. They should be releasing the first list from CSR tomorrow. The players are listed round-by-round alphabetically. If you want a better idea of where they'll be drafted according to a rank, wait til May 1st.
