he was invited to the U20 camp because he is expected to be on the team next year i don't put a whole lot of stock into those all star team selections.... but thanks for providing the link so you are suggesting he was the 3rd or 4th best defenseman in the entire Q yet would only be number one on half of the teams in the Q? to me if that is true he would have been number one on every team except his own and Victoriaville like i said this coming year he may become a star.... i suspect he will.... but his first two years he's been well insulated and allowed to develop properly, nothing wrong with that, but there aren't many star 16-17 year old dmen in major junior hockey Probably more than half... Moncton, Chicoutimi, Drum, Victo, St.John and Shawinigan are the teams that you could say "arguably" he might be #2...so I should have said 2/3 of the Q. I'm sure guys like Jalbert Despres Roussel Desnoyers were in serious consideration.

Here is a question...do you see any difference between the Esposito situation and the Kelly/Huberdeau situation? the only difference is time. SJ learned a lesson, and started playing by the "new rules." Nothing hypocritical about it (I know it wasn't you that celled it that, just making an observation). They missed out on one player, learned a lesson and moved on. Now, they do their best not to miss out on those chances. Every team has the same chances to talk to and negotiate with certain players. It's what they do with those chances that differs. On a somewhat related note, I find it hard to fault a kid for following the money.
