Really going to miss him referring to the "WILD CATS" as "p***y CATS" or whatever other Chessy nickname he came up with. Probably one of the most dedicated Moose Fans you will ever have. In the utmost respect to Fred "REST IN PIECE".......to most its a mispelling but for Fred kinda seems right. In all seriousness love to see a Fred the Moose jersey hanging at the top of Section 26 on Opening night" Something nice like that seems appropriate .

I remember when I was young and stupid, Fred and I would get into it on the forums. I don't think he took it serious, but I did, and I probably said mean things to him. When I met him on a few occasions, I regretted all the stuff I have said. Every intersection, people could be found at the top of section 26 talking to him. He was a dedicated fan, going to the rink with an airtank and all.
Some of my fondest memories of him on the forums was when he would egg billy(not sure what he goes by now) on during the 1999-2000 season by saying "Cats not going to the dance". Billy fell for it every time!

Condolences to Fred's family and the entire Mooseheads community I'm shocked I thought this was a joke we have talked via PM for the last season and I always looked forward to our discussions; he was very excited for the draft and the upcoming season. I hope this year's team can win one for him I'm in shock I'm going to miss our discussions Too bad the Habs weren't able to get it done for him either!!!

Very sad news. Rest in peace Fred. your enthusiasm and dedication to the Mooseheads will never be matched.
I'm sure the Metro Centre just will not be the same without you there, cheering the kids on.

Wow.. terrible news.
Rest in peace Fred, a true #1 fan.
The Q has certainly took a hit this past week, losing for my money its' two biggest fans.

Definitely sad and shocking. Fred was one of kind. It would be fitting if the Mooseheads honored him during the home opener as they have done in the past for a view other fans that passed away.

Very shocking and sad news. I hope the Moose can win a league championship in the near future with Fred watching from above like the true Moosehead fan he always will be. R.I.P. Fred. I'm sure Fred is up there right now negotiating for some good fortune to come to the Moose.

Condolences to Fred's family and many friends. It's been a rough week or so in the Maritime QMJHL family. Like Deer above, I started on these boards over a decade ago and even then Fred was a well known poster. When I first read his posts, suffice to say I had a different opinion of him than I do now! As was cited by many posters here, his true nature came through even online as he'd always congratulate the stars of rival teams (including a fitting last post), while still having great pride in being a true Mooseheads fan. And most importantly in person he was always a great chat- someone you could tell was a very friendly man and a great, passionate hockey fan. It was always a pleasure to talk to him during my many trips to the HMC and in some cases, as alluded to above, introduce him to other posters whom he'd always manage to win over instantly. R.I.P Fred... we'll miss you.
