RIP Fred you will be missed. Having sat at the top of section 25 for 9 years you could always count on Fred to have a smile on his face when you walked up the aisle. And he always had a high five for my kids. My kids always loved to poke Fred on top of the head when they were waiting for their turn to go down to their seats at a whistle. My condolences to Fred's family

Although I never met him, I always heard rumblings of Fred, and enjoyed reading his posts from time-to-time.
Fred, I hope you're getting ready for the big hockey game in the sky. I hear it's going to be a good one.
The Hockey Fan Family has lost another good soul, but as long as we remember him, his spirit will carry on.
Condolences, thoughts and prayers goes out to Fred's family.
Rest in peace.

I just heard the news. I am so saddened by this. I first met Fred about 4 years ago. After my father's heart attack, we used to take the access-a-bus with Fred. He always greeted us with a smile and a new story of hockey past. I always made it a point to stop and say hi at every game. I send my deepest condolences to his family. The games won't be quite the same.

I met Fred around the time I first started to read (and obviously long before I posted) on these boards. Around 10 years ago I was introduced by chance to Fred during a game in Moncton. The first impression I got from him was of a guy who cared. He knew his stuff and he enjoyed the fun that came with posting on here. He also cared for these boards which meant that by extension he cared for us posters, a fact he displayed in the thread a couple weeks back honoring the memory of Moncton's Kevin Rickard.
RIP Freddy. Glad I got to meet you. You will be missed in rink throughout the Maritimes.

Never got a chance to meet him, but his presence and unrelenting enthusiasm and optimism will certainly be missed.
Cheers, Fred.
